Good news for soloing and grouping. Now I go back to not being able to cast it on a raid...

okay...they are spawning. 3 double arrow down whte broodlings. My tests are so far not conclusive if the 25% proc rates firing correctly, but still a small sample. they are spawning tho, and at this point appear to be doing their appropriate 200-300 points of damage. we'll see how happy this makes our raid dps and aggro tonight.

Indeed I am very curious to see what reaction this will cause in a raid.

Now if the broodlings would just move towards the target when spawned, i would be happy...Seriously... the pathing issues before are better than the stand in place problems now.

They arent moving.

Aside from that usually when the spell works and they start running to the mob, I see that they sapwn from my usuall 25 meter range that I like to cast from. then they start advancing towards the mob, I cast another spell and they reset, are they doing damage in this period of time? or am I messing my spell up because I am casting and respawning them?

Cosmic ~ Warlock of the 60th Plague

Iconoclast - Permafrost

Message Edited by Heart's Rage on 01-23-200602:05 PM

Well, now you can see the nifty orange damage numbers that they do--without outlines, and just like netherous--but i believe they sort of need to be in range of a mob to do any damage. Since they are short ranged.... probably they aren't doing any. Honestly, you'd think that since this was on test, they could make them move.

I just ran a few test but they arent moving at all and only dealing damage when in immediate range of the target (so useless on most raid).I can be wrong but i'm under the impression that the damage per tick done by the spell itself has been increased, at lv 60, 366 int and master 1 the spell does 376-460 damage per tick (again i can be wrong as i dont remember the exact damage it did b4).I hope for a fix very soon as in my opinion it clearly isn't working for the moment.Lord BaltazarrSavioursButcherblock

Ya the broodlings still seem to be broken, they spawn fine do one nuke then just sit there nothing else till they despawn. Can we realy get this fixed right I mean how long does it take to get a fix in that actualy works do you guys even test the obvious ?

They sem to spawn a bit less then listed, but then again they alwasy seemed to could just be the RNG screweing with me. I can confirm they are not moveing, if you are next to the mob when they proc they do normal damage, but if you are too far they stay near you and do nothing.

What I don't understand is all the other classes that get dumfire pets can summon them at will, but we have to proc ours. Why not just take the dot componet away and alow us to send in broodlings like all the other mage classes?

Anyway, if we could summon these guys at will it would make the spell too good. I don't find much use for these guys soloing (cuz they break root) or single partying, because things die too quick. In raids however the %25 proc is bound to happen at some point(I rarely can't get them out within the duration of the dot) and it is a massive boost to our dps. Remember that these little buggers trigger things like netherous realm.

Now... actually having them move to the target or shifting them so that their attack is ranged based would be helpful.

-Aldebaran of AB

Go ahead and let them hang back at range and spit venom at the npc or something.
