<div>Ok, I've been playing my warlock since before we were changed to AOE "masters". Level 45 atm and just letting everyone know not dissing the class just need a little motivation. Recently I'm becoming bored with my warlock I don't feel like I'm any good at soloing and in groups I'm GREAT at AOE but...I'm also GREAT at getting massive argo. I know this has been covered 10,000 times and all but I'm just a little discouraged. Especially because I want to like my warlock like I used to. Single targets I'm decent but not great. Last, I pretty much bring no utility at all to a group. I know it sounds like I want the "whole package" but I just want some things to look forward to (besides devastaion). Is KoS guna bring anything worth while to the table for a 45 lock like me?</div><div> </div><div>To sum it all up I'm jus a little down with my class and really am hoping</div><div>I can like it the way I used to. :smileysad:</div><div> </div><div>Otherwise I'm planning on working my 35 bruiser up who kicks az....just don't wana give up on my warlock...:smileysad:</div><div> </div><div>any help?</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>

Level that bruiser...thats my advise. I have fun from time to time playing the warlock, but its not a great class to play...far from it in my opinion. If I had it to do over, I would go summoner, probably necro for the coolness factor, or bard or ranger, maybe even rogue...not warlock though, thats for [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] sure.<div></div>

<div></div><p>Ya never know what will happen with this next expansion. We got no love with DoF and the revamp but the new expansion may turn the tide and summoners can get the axe. Ya just never know I hope to think they are looking at our aggro issues with how scouts have all kinds of ways to help themselves out and summoners get their aggro split some with their pets. With SOE things go back and forth all the time before the revamp us and wizards were gods and not so much anymore things will change they always do they never can get it right.</p><p> </p>

I actually had the same issue with you, Kezz, before I hit 50. I started soloing in PoF when I was lvl 52... it's not easy when you're 52 and almost everything is orange to you, but I got through it... now, I'm lvl 55 now and enjoying it! I actually think that it's easy to solo your warlock, especially when you hit 50. You get Devastation when you hit 50 (AE DoT and best to upgrade to Adept 3) & Dark Nebula (AE DD & Stun). Oh, also Nil Absolution (i think) when you hit 48 (AE Direct Dmg, also best to upgrade to AD3).So, what I do is cast my AE root on encounter mobs (very easy with down arrow mobs even if they're 3-4 lvls above you, btw), wait for a few seconds to make sure my root doesn't break when I cast Devastation, then cast Nil Absolution, and re-cast root again (just in case), and sometimes cast Dark Nebula. It's actually funny to see all mobs die at the same time with just 2 spells.Anyway, get your warlock to 50 at least. See if you'll enjoy or not. If so, try to get another few more lvls before hitting PoF (maybe 52 or 53) and go kill some Windsisters by the Ashen camp... they're normally a group of lvl 57 mobs (most of them) with down arrow. They're easy kill!Good Luck!Cerri<div></div>

<div></div><p>I would strongly recommend to try to make friends with a paladin (level 48 or above), for they can control your aggro well, and you can go "all out" crazy and usually not have a problem. </p><p>With two roots, you are also able to take on more difficult mobs compared to other classes, if you take on the right kinds of mobs. Experiment, and have a little fun. </p><p>As was stated, everything goes a lot faster at 50. Devastation, along with the upgrade to your other ae's, will certainly energize you when you see the big numbers flying about. Try to keep getting groups and experiencing; in the meantime, the plated diggers and large groups of beetles in SS should be good for you to feast on with your AE sets.</p>

They have a spell ( forgive my ignorance as to its name) that takes a huge percentage of agto from its target and applies it to the Pali. At low levels its like 25% to 42% in the 50's. This is a huge bonus It ensures a) you rarely get agro ( I still can but I have to try) b) makes sure the Pali never loses it. </div><div>We have even tried it on a few raids where agro is an issue. Cleans up the mess real nice.</div><div> </div><div>As for soloing fun your right at a nice spot group root and nice AOE spells for dmg. </div><div> </div><div>Some guild dont appreciate Warlock because they dont understand how good we can be. Put a couple Warlocks, a pali and a fury together and go slaughter half the know world!</div>

However a small word of warning. When fighting ^^^ single mobs no sweat. The Pally simply wont lose aggro. Be careful when fighting groups and using AOEs, you can and will peel a mob the pally doesnt have targeted.</p><p>To the OP, devastation changes the equation. If its not orange and a group of ^^^s its solable...just as long as the roots hold :smileywink:</p>

<div></div><p>pallys have amends which is best because it applies the hate to the pally...so if he taunts like once you are golden....</p><p> </p><p>guardians have assuage which just lessens your agro ...but does not reassign it...these are a must especially in raids ...ive given tanks in the guild rubys with instructions to go get these ad3...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>so worth is ...always make sure they are on you ...or at least another high dps class in the group...alot of tanks just dont get what they are for...ive had tanks in pickup groups who were like ...why would i ever cast a buff on myself that lowers hate?</p><p>reply" cuz its not for you [Removed for Content]!... these save your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] so let them know about them</p><p> </p>
