I'm not positive on when this change occured, but I have also noticed the difference. Most of you, especially the raiders out there, are probably familiar with the term 'healing range'. Prior to this change, I had to be slightly closer than healing range to cast certain spells (Thwart for instance). I can now sit on top of the healers and get off all my spells, with Ice Flame and Boundless Fury being the exceptions of course.Not sure if this was done on purpose, but it is a nice change.<div></div>

<div></div><p>OK.  Going to go out on a limb here and assume this is in response to the movement speed increase.  We got it first, then several weeks later the mobs were brought up to speed to match ours.  The big problem this introduced was that before we could root, nuke, and get a new root off before the mob closed into melee range.  With the movement increases the mobs were getting into melee range before a new root or finishing nuke could be case.  While many of us who play Warlocks would have probably prefered shorter casting times (I know I would), a slightly longer range makes it possible to kinda return to our pre-movement increase tactics.</p><p> </p><p>Just a thought.</p><p>Squall, Kithicor Server</p>

range doen't really matter when a rooted mob teleports right next to you...which I have been noticing a lot lately<div></div>

Based on the pictures seen in <a target="_blank" href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=24&message.id=12605">this </a>thread, I'm going to say that the ranges for spells have been at 25 or 35m since the expansion.  As you can see, those pictures were posted in September or October, so I'd think they're fairly reliable.  Pre-expansion, I have no clue though.I have also not noticed this on my warlock.  I solo a lot, and the range for devastation and my roots appears to be the same as it has been for the past few months.Anyway, not sure why you're experiencing this, just thought I'd add my 2c.<div></div>
