<DIV>why the ninja nerf, used to do 5.8 seconds of pacifiy, not overwhelming in my opinion but very usefull. Since the patch my app4 went down to 4.5 seconds, not long enough to do much at all considering how long it takes to cast most warlock spells. So I went and spent a large chunk of my hard earned plat and bought a master level. Nice! still does the exact same thing as my app4 did, 4.5 seconds of pacifiy. 2 plat down the drain. I assume the same thing will go with the level 52 version.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah, upgrading this line is a little silly, as it's currently set up. It just adds to the miniscule damage done by the spell, rather than adding to the real effect. What were they thinking?</DIV>

I'm betting this was accidentally nerfed with all the illusionist stuns and stifles, but because it's a pacify, the devs didn't even bother to check it. VI was one of our best spells, now it's only worth casting to try and trigger Dark Infestation. <div></div>

I /bug'ed this and I suggest that everybody does it as well. <div></div>

Incidentally, what exactly is the effect "pacifies target"? In EQ1, pacify was a "lull" spell that reduced a mob's aggro radius, but that doesn't make sense here. I'm assuming it's like "stifle", but there must be a difference?

<P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff>This spell was my huge backup when I got added. the 1.3 seconds makes a huge difference in if the tank can get it off me or not. No reason for this nerf, and if the reason is comparing us to other classes, I got just one thing to say: I am a warlock not a wizard so don't equate.</FONT></SPAN></P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hilul, 54 Warlock on Stemfont</DIV>

Vulian Interference does not only stop auto-attack. When I use it the mob can't do <b>anything</b> except move. He just stays there in front of me, taking damage, until the spell expires. I never had a mob under Vulian Interference hit me. <div></div>

It doesn't matter what you think you saw. if you want some more conclusive data, /duel someone and then watch as they get interrupted when you cast it, and then start casting again immediately. I promise you. Are you on steamfont, I will show you? <div></div>

I want my 2 seconds back!

I saw nowhere PvP being mentioned. I was talking only about PvE and there Vulian Interference works as I described it and as intended, I am sure. PvP is a joke in EQ2 so it's no wonder spells are not balanced. <div></div>

Since there is a post about this (and just about all of them for that matter) spell nearly every week...if you look at the last post about VI, you'll notice people talking about pacify, and how they have been ice cometted by a mob who was "PACIFIED." Also please note that spell discriptions do not change for pvp...what happens in pvp is the same as pve, and likewise.

Well, one problem is that duration isn't listed when you inspect a spell scroll. I don't know if it changes for any spell, but it's odd that it isn't listed. It makes it hard to pick racial traits too.

<P>the spell does not work the same on pvp as it does on pve you might think it should but that is where you are wrong</P> <P>try pvp with tongue twist it seems to pacify on pvp as well as pve.............EVEN ON STEAMFRONT /gasp</P> <P> </P>
