<P>just want some information please, someone told me that our roots are gonna be nerfed and i couldnt believe it but i did a search on it and i read a post about someone saying that roots might be nerfed but he/she didnt comfirm where the information came from.  </P> <P> </P> <P>i love my warlock hope they dont do anything daft <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

<P>so far, all we've seen is rumors....</P> <P> </P> <P>someone from community summit supposedly was told we're being nerfed in our roots and our aoes - and went and told an outside gaming website about it, and its being quoted as gospel truth.</P> <P> </P> <P>hearsay ... untill we get an official dev post or a test center change, its just crying wolf.</P> <P>Do i believe that there is a possibility?  sure.</P> <P>I'd not mind a nerf to our roots, cuz honestly, soloing with them is worthless compared to the old days, but we can chain root an add almost as well as a true mezzer... and its not in our job description.</P> <P>nerfing our aoe dps?  sure, lots of people crying for that right now...  but as i approach 60, it's not as overwhelming as it was closer to 50 -  our cast times are too long to really effectively aoe in a grind group anyways...we get too many dead targets before spells are cast as it is.  so unless they are gonna drop our 3-4 second casts to 2-3, we're already effectively nerfed as it is.  Raiding - the only thing that can let us get our dps our in a sustained fashion, is just bizarre as it is.  aggros a problem, our wonderful procs are deadly.  more deadly to us than to a mob.</P> <P>I can drop gift/maelstrom/realm/ procs out, drop and spawn a set of broodlings, and watch my dps skyrocket - for 2 seconds before i die.  sit there dead for over a minute, and still come out in the top 4 of a raids dps...despite being dead for much of the time.</P> <P>or, i can play it safer, and stay alive for a raid, and be oop for most of it, with no effective way of getting back to full power.  remember when grisly contract used to give more power than it took health at master 1? LOL....we've been hit with the nerf stick enuff, dont you think?</P> <P>our power efficiency, root effectiveness, and overall utility is pretty poor.  our single target dps is lower than most dps classes.  our group buffs are the worst of all the casters, and terrible compared to healers.  Our dps compared to a furies is no where near where it needs to be in comparison.  </P> <P>these things should all be taken into cnsideration before we get anymore nerf calls....</P> <P>we're not a completely worthless class...and in grind groups, we're spectacular.  but we are very handicapped in some situations. there are already enuff checks in place to keep us from being gods of dps accross the board.  we've got some severe limitations already...  </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P></P>

There must be something wrong. Powerpool is another problem even soloplaying is very power unefficient, too often oom. One thing hast to be pointed out once again: we have only ONE damage type(poisen), change that pls.</DIV>
