On AE mobs it does alot of damage. The way it works is as follows. Cast gift line at pull. Debuff the mob with the maelstrom line and cast a DD AE nuke to spread the debuff. When the debuff spreads it procs the gift line. The gift line has a chance to make the debuff proc again. You get a cascade of procs and you can do alot of damage. Kill grp mobs in a few seconds. If you have a troub or a illusionist it even does more damage, thx to their extra procs. Leey 60 Warlock Runnyeye  <div></div>

Play with it and the chatoic maelstorm debuff (together)on groups of mobs. It's amazing how much damage it will do. Very cool spell, I use it all the time with a healer who knows it's going to cause me to get agro but one or two heals and the mobs are dead anyway.

<DIV>Yep the damage it can put out with the debuff constantly spreading makes devastation look [Removed for Content].  It can pump way more damage than devastation alot of the times.  Nothing from devastation I love it but wow those small numbers add up really quick.</DIV>

The sheer number of... numbers flying off the top of mobs sometimes lags my machine. It's great. <div></div>

<P>My Warlock is at 44 now.    I start with the poisoning debuff, cast Abhorrent Gift, then follow it with abyssmal fury.  It ticks every second and causes abhorrence damage to every target in the party.</P> <P>Where it really adds up is when there are 5 mobs in the group, each takes spell damage, so each hits every other mob with abhorrence damage.  If you look at the combat log, you see each target getting hit with 5 abhorrences each second.  I can solo green heroics with this tactic (sometimes).  I've seen a single casting do 5000+ points of damage, 18-35 at a time.  It often rivals my big group nuke for damage in a combat, since I usually only get to cast the big one once.</P>
