Does Nihilism break mez when it goes off?

Good question. Im pretty sure it does break mez though. Nihilism is basically an AE nuke that hits all encounter members but its a proc so it wouldnt have the same characteristics as a PC AoE not breaking Mez. If I had to guess I would say it does break mez.

<DIV>Yes I am pretty sure it does one raid encounter we said no aes allowed on a fight so I took of nihilism to be safe.  However the mezzes kept breaking everyone swore they didnt us aes but a few people said some procs on the MT might cast aes which could be the likely cause unless someone did an ae and didnt admit to it.  One thing to note though is if a chanter does single target mez only things that can break that is a direct hit spell or melee to the mob or pbaoe.  </DIV>

Nihilism breaks mez everytime it is activated. Through the testing, I found the maelstrom line to be another spell that breaks mez. Chanter went through her logs and found both these spells break mez. Yet to have the chance to try this on netheros realm, but I seriously think it will break too. Seemed like we are now the chanters' nemessis ...

Alfred good to know thanks for looking into that more. One thing though I had maelstrom on last night while they had 4 adds ae mezzed and the chanters didnt say anything about the mobs breaking mez.  The debuff did spread and spread quite alot.  <BR> <BLOCKQUOTE> <BLOCKQUOTE> <DIV> </DIV></BLOCKQUOTE></BLOCKQUOTE>
