<DIV>I wanted to know how you all handle the new warlock and raiding.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This isnt a rant, just some ovbservations. More like me asking how you guys handle these things. My guild just got back to raiding from the grind break now so I only now I can test new methods but tips from other people experiance is always welcomed <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>These problem was on all our mages and to some extant our roughs/predetors but since then can use thier detaunt it was alot less evident for them.</DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So any tips will be apericiated ,thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here are some things I noticed that really bothered me :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.Our spell dmg range is HUGE, but when raiding debuffing is added it goes mad. Null dist at max int and raid debuffing hits from 1-3.5k...pure [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]. Our wizys ice comet was hiting 2.5-8k ,its like an agro roulete.Devastation was ticking from 400-1100 !!! lol</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2.Maybe we need to change our group layout, but since warlocks buffs suck we arent grouped with tanks (at least i wasnt).</DIV> <DIV>So i have no agro transfer on me like i had from troubs/paladins in my way to 60.So tanks cant benefit from our agro and its basicly me vs the tank on an agro fight.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3.No anti agro skill ,well we have...but it triggers on hit...much help that gives us when 62X4 or stronger mobs agro us.Im an agroless corpse lol</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So any tips will be apericiated ,thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>If we think our pally can take all the damage and live we use him with amends on me and I go nuts its great but it doesnt happen on all raids.</DIV>
We did an AoE group in Silent City with me (53 warlock) a pally, a wizard, chanter and healers. With Amends on me I could go wild with AoE and never get aggro. In fact, when the wizard would occasionally get aggro I would crank up my AoE to effectively transfer the aggro back to the pally. It was so much fun it is sure to be nerfed (j/k I hope not).

<P>As I mentioned raid setup aint grind setup.</P> <P> </P> <P>So putting a warlock with the bards&tanks causes a large buff lose.Our raid leaders just say go easy...sigh...yay DPS class that need to cast once per minute.</P> <P> </P> <P>Best combination I saw for agro was Pala+coer ,held MAD DPS numbers <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P> </P> <P> </P>
listen to Kalel22 and ask your raidleader to put you in group with a troub. <DIV>not only do they have an agro reduce buff for caster but also the best caster proc buff that there is.</DIV>

<DIV>I know about troubs deagrro buff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thing is we have one dirge and one troub in our guild,we are a small raiding guild. We dont like having tons of people. We prefer handfull of skilled players insted.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So if im in MT or MA group ,they lose some major buffing from a healer or some other class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cant change whole raid setup cause I want to spam <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just wondered if any of you have any trick I dont know about <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Caster group - 4 Sorcerors, 1 Fury, 1 Troub = Group. Not exactly a MT group :smileytongue:

Troubs dont bring near as much as they used to in MT group. We have 2 Troubs in our guild that are active atm so its not a problem even if they need him in the MT group.

As far as raiding goes, warlocks can do the most DPS. The reason is because of the debuff we have. This thing will proc thousands of times during the encounter and if you are grouped up with troub, illusionist, or have a wizard casting ice bound you are toast. So basically just hold off on the dps until the mob is at about 75% health. Just cast your dots until then (watch out for the little guys infestation spawns, they do out of encounter PBAE and will aggro greys all around you). Infestation is almost not even worth it sometimes to cast because, the little guys will almost always spawn and then proceed to ae everything. This isnt so bad if adds arent around but they also will not be able to land a spell on any mob over 62. Anyways, it isnt about who can do the most DPS, its about killing the mob. You just need to find your grove. If you decided not to cast the debuff, which is a good idea, you can pretty much go all out without having to worry to much about aggro unless you do some crazy random burst damage. For example, spells hitting for much more than you would expect them too all in a row...you end up dishing out 20k damage in 10 secs.

It will be fixed. The comment about DI not worth casting because of the broodlings nuking random encounters is moot because you can cancel the broodlings before they can even cast on anything. This will allow you to continue the uber tick of DI while not being afraid to nuke an encounter that isnt intended. <BR>

Im glad to hear they are planning on changing the debuff. It ends up being more of a problem than not in a raid situation. As far as dark infestation goes, i still wouldnt take the chance even if you can cancel them out. It does tick for good damage but in some situations in would rather not even worry about the dot and the chance of the broodlings spawning.

You can also group with a guardian and have the benefit of their manuever buff line. It also reduces agro generated and its just lost agro, no transference.

<P>I'm usually with casters and a troubadour and have little problems. Most DoF raid mobs have crap hps, so I usually debuff, send out netheros, dark infestation, shadows, and mob is already around 70% so then give it all I have and it's dead within seconds.</P> <P>If your raid is low on dps, it might be worth it to have coercer with MT for hate buff.</P><p>Message Edited by Splatterpunk28 on <span class=date_text>10-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:09 AM</span>
