<P>at level 40, you really need to move on from staves.</P> <P>if not already, you'll soon be ready for tartons wheel or the stein of moggok.</P> <P>get yourself a cedar wand or ebon casters dagger.</P> <P>dual wielding will get you more int and power than any 2hander in the game along with secondary stat buffs as well.</P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

It's a pity that they can't make staffs equal to the combined-slot weapons. Staffs are very mage-like, idem for Brawlers and their bo staff, but statwise they are never better then any good prim+sec combination. You sometimes wonder why the staffs are still in the game. <div></div>

Only staff I've seen that is anything viable for a caster is the Staff of Undead Legions.  It has decent INT and good power.  Only problem is that it doesnt even come close to duo combinations of wand/dagger and offhand.

Where do you get Tarton's Wheell?  Can't seem to find it on EQ Ogaming. <div></div>

<P>That would be because it is most likely labelled as Tartons Wheel, not Tarton's Wheel.  I find that is the case with alot of Ogaming's items.</P> <P>Anyway... you start the quest in your home city by buying a special gem from a merchant in one of the sub districts.  It has been a while since I did this, so I cant help you here, but once you get the gem, take it to the TS docks to a merchant there that will trade it to you for the book, Tartons Wheel.</P> <P>I thought we were talking about Staves =).</P>

<DIV>A level Warlock or Wizard carrying a melee weapon over a staff just doesn't sit well in my screen shots. Explain again why a warlock or wizard can't have a staff all the way through their journeys. The more powerfull the Warlock the larger his Staff should be. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I probably shouldnt even bring up hats here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just a couple of questions, opinions and observations.</DIV>

There's a staff that drops in Nek Castle: The Return called Sharta, the Brilliant Light. Has 20 int and a bunch of power, plus out of combat power regen, not too shabby. There's another that drops in Spirits of the Lost that has good stats, but I don't know the name. Of course, both are junk compared to practically any 1h and secondary. Even a cedar wand and Tarton's will give you 24 int and a bunch of power. Prismatic and Idol of Chaos is a total of 42 int, a pile of power, 12 in combat + 14 out of combat regen. <div></div>

<DIV>I have yet to see any staff better then one hand+secondery.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Inclduing fable staffs compared to treasured/legendry combo's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And if you take prisy's into acount then its game over.Prisy alone is better then any other staff in the game and the secondery is a bonus <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>To your question Tarton is on ogaming ,and I think its in search under seach words: tarton or wheel ,or tarton's wheel,</DIV> <DIV>If thier search dont find it I think you can also filter by quest reward ranking I think its 9 or 10 ,and lvl 40+ quest.</DIV> <DIV>Shouldnt take more then 2min to find.</DIV>

<DIV>Lot of useful information here already. As it is I can only play 2-3 hours a night. I take between 5-10 screen shots a night at various times while playing. Put those together over a year and I have a very large number of them for a revolving screen saver. As I watch the slides go buy I see myself in the early days wearing some nice robes and carrying nice staffs. As time goes by I see less robes and more of a rag doll look. If I were to explain to someone yes thats me a Warlock wearing cloth armor and carrying duel wield weapons you might get the impression I was more of a Battlemage which technically doesn't exist here. Not that I don't mind the battlemage look I'm just more of a traditionalist, robes and staves.</DIV>
