This is a request to devs (im talking to you lockeye) to make a change to our spell type damage for all our spells. With the current work being done to raid mobs and named mobs in general as it pertains to the type of damage they are immune to, we will need some work to our spells. I suggest that half of our spells be disease and half be poison. Most of our line have a similiar line of dmg spells. With that we could split them down the middle with Disease and Poison to make us effective DPS on raids that will have either Poison or Disease immunity. My suggestions are as follows.

Disease Line / Poison Line

Dark Infestation / Devastation

Absolution Line / Dark Nebula Line

Flay Line / Distortion Line

Pyre Line / Shadows Line

Nihilism Line / Toxic Grasp Line

Netherous Realm / Aura Line

Gift Line / Fury Line (Boundless and Abysmal)

In my opinion this would make us even with other classes that are able to do all sorts of other dmg to targets and not leave us in the cold with only 1 dmg type to use. A dev response would be super.

This is exactly what we need, I feel this is just an oversight by the devs or atleast hope. This would also put one debuff in each category aswell as giving us a minimum of 2 solid types of dmg.

Awesome suggestion, bothers me that we only have one damage type.

Kalabus that looks well balanced anything compared to that would be nice. For most situations wont mean a thing we would still be chugging away in most group mobs but will aid our being needed in raids greatly.

Devs,

Please consider this suggestion. As it stands, warlocks are useless on any mobs immune to poison. Developers are constantly and erroneously listing us as a poison/disease class, but we have no disease-based damage spells. None. Check for yourself. If it is immune to poison, we are doing no damage. A warlock who does no damage is worthless.

-Kairos

54 Warlock/Unrest

2 days and no response to something that is a very real issue for our class.

Yes Pan. I PM'ed this link to Lockeye.

This is definitely a good idea, I would enjoy having some disease spells so we weren't so totally dependant on Poison.

Even if some lines were converted to Disease it would be a big step forward for us.

Add another vote in the "Oh yes, strongly agree, Devs we need this badly" column from me. Seems like an easy change to make, too--just change the damage type as needed, leave everything else the same. Of course, I would not be at all upset if they wanted to throw us a bone and give a new disease based nuke with damage between Nil Distortion and Ice Comet.....but the balanced approach taken by the OP is a much better suggestion overall.

Appreciate the response, Joel. Should also take a look at the thread about Warlock concerns that is sticky'ed. :smileyhappy:

Aye but I would have still like to see one of our DD lines go disease as well either soul blister or distortion line. But definetly great news for us.

Just be happy we got some attention. The poor guardians have been waffling along in their current state... which franklly has been garbage.
