<DIV>I first off want to say I love Everquest  I have been with it from the begining, Its how my brothers and I stay in touch as we live so far apart, and I love the beauty of the game itself and that oh so satisfying DING when you level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But the negative outweighs the positive IMHO after the LU.  I carefully chose warlock as my class after researching all the classes.  It was a wizard with a differant flavor.  Thats what attracted me to it.  Wizards=fun  and this was just a long overdue twist on the same theme.  I cant play too much every day  only about 4 hours at the best.  I have taken nearly a year to make it to my current level of 44 after several false starts.  I dont raid so I am not covered head to toe in FABLED gear and dont have a single (pre-update) Master spell  I havent had the fortune to have on drop, and dont have the platinum to buy one if I ever did find one on the broker, which I havent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>  I loved my class, It was just what I wanted it to be  a dark version of the wizard.  Now Its just a powersucking, aggro-drawing waste of my last year of time and very disappointing culmination od Sony's actions.  I would not have made or put the effort into a charachter that has the basis of AOE damage.  It wasnt nor would it have been my choice to have your basis of charachter class changed that dramaticaly is just wrong, and I feel downright immoral.  It would be no differant than making a Gaurdian unable to use vanguard armor, its just WRONG!  I typically team up with a pair of assassins and rarely had any trouble leveling, hunting or accomplishing anything we put our minds too.  I was a useful, desired aspect of our group.  Now I toss off substandard, even in comparison to the assassins, damage AOE spells that suck the power bar down like nobodys business and immediately draw aggro as there arent any tanks the unbreakable bony grasp that oft saved me is now junk, and basically I am a personal Debt machine.  I am not a number crunching stat comparing  parse-[Removed for Content].  Thats not what I am saying.  Its the broad sweeping changes made ont eh fundamental level of a class  this far into a game that I say is WRONG!  Yes I am sure may will respond as others did and do ont his forum,  Adapt or Leave.    Very  nice btw.   Can I learn how to play this NEW class?  because thats what it is,  very likely yes, the focus of my argument is this  I did not want to play a caster that had to bu nursed along and constantly worry about aggro.  I wanted a caster that waits for the right moment then visits destruction on the foes confronting you.   Thats what I used to do  but can not do by a long shot now.  The mobs healthbars seem mostly unaffected by my efforts and I am a hindrance to my group  having to run back for my shard, or needing help retrieving it repeatably.  Long and short of it is, DDO jsut got a helluva lot more attractive to me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mikalah Darkmantle</DIV>

/drama We do more single target DPS while solo than before. As to power.... On raids, I could go full damage for 12 minutes and not go OOP, while the wizard in my group has used his manastone 6 times.  That was just wrong. <div></div>

Don't you see? Single target damage: went up Group damage: went way up Obviously our damage has been nerfed! Now stop posting in support of the combat revamp, you're making the children upset. In other news, I do agree that our power consumption was practically nil before, and that it's much more now. We were chain pulling raptors in Pillar of Flames and I actually had to drink to stay at full power! The horror!</span><div></div>

<DIV>Wow  thre  replies  none addressing the issues  I posited,  and one totally ignoring the entire subject matter, and attempting to belittle me.  Wow   I hope you feel better now!  THE POINT IS NOT SOLO DMG  OR EVEN DPS for those of you who cannot read and comprehend;  Its the drastic change of class focus and ability and group dynamics.  If you dont have anything constructive to post  why bother  what good does trying to tell the class is better than it is do?   If you have some secret info as to spell sequence or special info I might have missed  share your greater knowledge,  but I fail to see how just telling me I dont know what I am doing or belittling my arguments is constructive.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Miklah Darkmantle</DIV>
