Ok, we sorcerers have been rather upset about the 'looming nerf' of our main solo spell. I think maybe this is a bit alarmist. While, on the surface, this seems to be a devastating blow to our abilities, something I read leads me to think it *may* not be as bad as we believe. This is a statement from the Warlock rants about the Bony Grasp 'nerf' and seems applicable to the equivalent Wizard spell.

This change was unintentionally included with Live Update #11, and is meant to be coupled with several other alterations to the spell with the combat changes. It looks like an updated duration table for control spells in general was likely pushed to Test server, so we'll have to look at reverting the change (That means that it probably isn't the only spell that had its duration changed).

Ryan "Blackguard" Shwayder

The important things to not are the fact that this is *not* the only change to the spell. It looks like the way they have spell data organized may be a bit odd. They have different tables for different uses of spells for different characteristics of spells. This means that they probably *also* have a table for the control spell cast times and controll spell recast times. The only change that made it to the test server was the duration. So, before we curse SOE for being a bunch of [Removed for Content], lets see what other changes will come to these spells.
