Warlock vs Wizards pros and cons

<DIV>What pros and cons does the warlock have vs the wizard?  I'm still struggling on which of these two subclasses I was to play and I'm hearing conflicting reports.  I read on some posts that the wizard has the edge on dps while a RL friend who plays a wizzy, says he envies the dmg he's seen some warlocks put out.  And I haven't heard much on the other pros and cons between the two.</DIV>
