<DIV>I could have sworn I'd read before something about the difference in each version of this spell, but the search function is not yielding any thread that talks about it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What is the difference in App4 / Adept I / Adept III / Master of this spell?</DIV> <DIV>And...about how much dmg do the different pet (s) do?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'll be getting the spell in a couple of days, I assume and have an Adept I banked -- wondering if this is a must have upgrade?</DIV>

Don't have damage parse for Nethero's, yet here's a run down of what they look like App1 thru Adept 1 : Blob with tentacles Adept 3: Wolf Master 1: Nightblood <div></div>

<DIV>This is one of the most disappointing spells I've ever got. As far as I noticed it doesn't do any dmg at all. I tested with the app1 and adept 1 version. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For all that don't know this spell, its a kind of a pet. You cast the spell on an enemy and a pet is summoned which attacks your target. While the pet is active you're rooted and ur mana is slowly drained. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>App 1 = a blue con double downarrow</DIV> <DIV>Adept 1 = a white con single downarrow</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think its broken or bugged. Same with the wizzies Protoflame. Another thing we have in common fellow sorcerers. :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>
Works fine for me. Check how your damage filters are set up. The Netheros damage is under the same filter as other people's/pet's melee damage. <div></div>

<DIV>OK, I'll check this tonight. Thanks for the info Daerv. Nevertheless I didn't noticed any dmg numbers and no attack animation during the fight. The pet was just standing next to the mob and did't do anything. Strange.</DIV>
As a side note, when searching sometime its a good idea to change the date option to within 90 days. A search for "netheros" then shows <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=24&message.id=6190&query.id=22432#M6190" target=_blank>this page</a> as the top result. <div></div>
It does about 600-800 dmg at ad3, would be useful if the pet got the aggro if you used it to pull, but alas it doesnt<div></div>

<P>Consider it as a fun spell, nothing else.</P> <P>Dmg sux, pet cant hold aggro, will die pretty soon in raid if mob AoE.</P> <P>Worst thing...u will be perma rooted till it expires, so if something goes wrong u cannot even move to run or change position to avoid frontal skills like Barrage etc (while in grp).</P>

<P>Ok, finally I noticed some dmg made by my Netheros - still its redicioulus... between 70-110 for an Adept 1spell at L48. Sorry but this is not even a fun spell... if the Adept 1 would spawn a Nighblood, ok this would be cool, but spending any plat on a master 1 just for having a nighblood pet? I didn't even saw a Netheros Master 1 at the broker for weeks.</P> <P>Here is a suggestion for an upgrade (this can also be applied for the wizzis Protoflame):</P> <P>1. Make it a real Pet (control bar commands and so on)<BR>2. Limit the duration (~10min) with a 30min recast (like the SK Evac Spell)<BR>3. Same Graphic for all spell levels, but the pets size and dmg should increase as the spell Lvl increases<BR>4. .... don't know maybe some of you guys have a cool idea?</P>

I happen to like that pet spells change in appearance as you level up. If you really, really want a nightblood, then you have to buy the master. If not, get a blob or a wolf. No, I don't think it should be a controllable pet, that's what summoners are for. This is similar to pets that many other classes get, in that they only attack (or buff, or whatever your pet does), they're not real pets. <div></div>
<P>It's basically a 36-sec poison DOT with a cute monster animation. Not a pet in any real sense.</P> <P>I have Master 1, used it on some yellow-con levl 49 ^ gnolls in Splitpaw yesterday. Seems like was ticking for 60-100, perhaps 15-18 ticks. Somewhere round 1000-1500 points total damage, making it (I think) my best DOT. I debuffed with CM and CoE first of course.</P> <P>Can still nuke while it's active, just can't move.</P> <P>I suspect the Nightblood is a lot better than the wolf or the blob.</P>
