Where are you seeing that Bony Grasp was nerfed?  Read through the patch notes a few times, and the only thing I saw that would interest warlocks was the power regen issues.

<P>AdiX_Styxx_ cool down a bit, bud...try to remember that our wishing for something has no detrimental effect on you. In fact, I think you will find most warlocks would love to see all of the issues fixed with your class as well. Just remember to be a bit less aggressive in your stance. I think most people who are complaining about the bony grasp nerf are complaining as a sort of knee-jerk reaction. We are not certain what is going to happen, but those of us who played EQLive know how these things often end up. As far as I am concerned, it is absurd to nerf a class power when we have other classes who have powers that don't even work. However, I will not gripe too much until I see what is actually going to happen.</DIV>

Well it does kind of affect dps in xp groups. Using Bony Grasp gives you 36 seconds to do pretty much whatever you like to the mobs without fear of peeling them off the tank. What happens to you when Bony Grasp runs out could be a problem but hey <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. <div></div>

Just adding I've found bony is quite usefull when someone aggros another group of mobs (especially one of the tissue paper types <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />).  Throwing on a well-timed bony grasp allows the tank to gain aggro on the adds without having a dead caster or two.  Otherwise, in group situations, I rarely use it.

Ofcourse it didn't and the mobs came charging, he threw his on and just like it was nothing it landed. This stuff happens to me all the time and I pride myself on knowing a great deal about my class. I've been playing my warlock since servers went live and it's not a situation where I don't know my class. Was just wondering if any of you all have heard of this type of thing or seen it first hand. It makes me sad because it reduces my solo effectiveness until it gets fixed. (Not entirely, just partially) Just about any caster depends on their roots for soloing, I'd just like to have mine working. You would think a lvl 50 warlock would know that spell resist rates are tied to skill - in the case of roots/stuns, subjugation :ROFL: I bet your Flashfreeze never works either.Did you inherit the account from a friend who quit, Calirian? Or did you cast the spell 10 times when you got it, got resists, then gave up using it again thus ensuring your skill in it remained low forever...

My subjugation skill is maxed, this was infact the first thing I checked when I started getting insane resists when I casted this. I keep a close tab on all my skills. If it was something as easy as, "My subjugation is sub par so that's why it isn't working" I wouldn't have come here to ask a question. Generally I try to stay away from the Official forums because this is where the trolls lurk, and I have no patience for ignorance, just people giving our class a bad name. As for upgrading my spells. Most if not all of my spells are Adept 3 quality that I use constantly on my spell bar, the ones that aren't are Masters or aren't used. I don't have to buy the rhodiums or spend countless hours farming as my guild makes the spells for me. Anyways thanks to all of you who tried to help. </DIV>

I wasn't trolling, I was just asking to make sure that it wasn't your subj skill, since that's the easiest to fix. Is it really 99.9% resist rate? Because sometimes it seems like that. Also, what about your other roots, do they get reisted as often? <div></div>

LOL! Sorry, was scribed the second I got it. I got a hold of the Warlock Mastery wand tonight too, so I was doing some seriously nice dps on the zek raid instance. I won't post the parse or the number of dps I done, because I don't want the nerf bat to come hit my class, but I will say that no one was even near it, and I had sooo much fun. And I got BG to work a lot tonight actually, whatever the problem was is gone now.
