The main difference is Wizzards have Cold / Heat based spells and Warlocks have Poison / Disease based spells. Both classes are fun to play and our spells are very close to each other so if you like Ice and Fire graphics go Wizzard if you like Green and Purple clouds go Warlock

Chipper Bogglecog 45 Warlock

Wizards have a bit more utility in groups, their mana feeding abilities are far superior to ours and they have evac. But they would gladly sacrifice that to have DPS on par with Warlocks. The main problem Wizards are facing right now is power cost per cast. A warlock's main line of nukes give power back upon a successful cast, whereas Wizards don't have that option. They have bigger nukes once both classes are lvl 50, but their nukes are usually on longer timers. Because Warlocks get power back and have their nukes on shorter casting/recast timers, a Warlock will usually out-DPS a Wizard in a very long, drawn out fight. Wizards are still the kings of burst dmg, however. In 1 round of spell casting nobody can out-dmg a lvl 50 Wizard. in my opinion, Wizards have better DoTs and Warlocks have good AoE dmg, each with their pluses and minuses.

But, as others have said, this is a topic that has been discussed in great detail and the MAIN difference is that Wizards use Heat/Cold while Warlocks use Poison/Disease for damage types.
