What is the best part of being a warlock?Does a warlock do a ton of damage, (any nukes>?)Is a Warlock as consistant of a solo class as a conjurer?Thanks, still in a very heated decisive debackle over what to become at a level nine mage, thanks a lot guys..Jacques

<DIV>When comparing the soloability of a Warlock to a Conjuror, Warlock IMO is more fun and better. I have a 26 Warlock and a 31 Conjuror, my Warlock has MANY more and MUCH better nukes, and better DoT's. All around DPS is way higher than a conjuror.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At lvl 26, my Adept 3 Dark Distortion (Main nuke till Null Distortion at 37ish) - It does a max of 697damage, don't remember the minimum. Warlock = pwng, until class overhauls that SOE plans for around first expansion, (is what everyone says anyway) but yea, I have never regretted it, awesome in groups, solo & all around fun to play. <div></div>

I like the fluff spells <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> really. As my main is a lvl 50 illusionist, I know what to compare <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />The other fact that I like is that warlock is a better soloer <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />The damage... well, I don't think too much about "pwning" other classes, cause I don't think it's good to do more damage than some other classes. You will live in fear of it getting notched down a bit (or balanced) till it happens. Well, actually one doesn't have to worry about balancing, hehe.And the last but not least... I kinda like the idea of my cute itsy bitsy wood elven female laying waste and leaving corpses behind <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />edit: some barbarian decided to /flirt with my character. I countered it with the frog fluff. But dont warlocks die faster and easier than conjurers? or does it not matter because you get roots early in the game? well, tell me when you get your first REAL effective root, thanks..Jacques

<DIV>Look you looking in wrong way then you want to compare classes</DIV> <DIV>Die a lot dont mean anything....  While conjurer can kill 1 mob warlock will kill 4-5. Warlock can solo mobs that conjurer cannt even dream about. But yes if want to be good warlock you WILL die a lot because you will all the time push the limits trying harder and harder mobs to solo plus your DPS and debuffs on raids can easy kill ya too if you not carefull</DIV>

Just be sensible as to what you try to solo. . . ok, ok, we all try to push the limits. . .nobody's sensible <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Better to say, just be sure you have enough pow to turn on the jets and run like hell if it's going bad. . . .that usually works. <P>Best part of being a warlock?  I can solo, duo and group effectively.  I've never been out dps'd -- if grouping with anyone 3levels of mine. </P> <P>Can we solo as well as conjurers?  Depends on how you look at it.  We can solo much, much faster and thereby gain xp much faster.  But, we are more like to die than they are.</P> <P>When do we start solo'ing?  You can solo from day1.  BUT, to be honest, we cannot solo as efficiently until 40.  IMHO a conjuror can solo better until 40.  After that, it's a toss up on safety vs time efficiency.  The difference is:  with practice, warlocks will not die often.  With practice, a conjuror...well, can't kill any faster, so...?</P> <P>They do make an amazing duo team though. </P>
