<DIV>Just dinged 45 and picked up Nihlism. It seems to be the same concept as Chaotic Maelstrom and Steal Breath...reduces poison/disease mitigation and hits the mob with a dot. It uses the same icon and refresh as Steal Breath though. I seem to be able to cast both Chaotic and Nihlism at the same time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So my question is this: do the two dots of Nihlism and Chaotic Maelstrom stack with each other? Does the 800 or so reduction to disease/poison mitigation of each of these stack with each other as well? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>More importantly, even if they do stack would I ever even want to cast both of these? And if not...has anyone noticed a difference between them (which one is better?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bestow upon me your vast wisdom fellow Warlocks! :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>It is helpful when you are fighting say Ulrich (sp?) who can hit you with a 13k Nil Distortion. I've never really noticed that it has proc'd because I'm usually doing things during the raid, but, like I said, if you're in a group with someone who is going to do melee against a mob who does Poison/Disease, it doesnt hurt to cast it on them.</DIV>

I pressume they do...</P> <P> </P> <P>________________</P> <P>Tribbletts, lvl 49 and counting...</P>

Nihilism is a great spell. I put it on meleeers in my group. You can tell when it has gone off, because high level mobs now take 2080 dmg instead of 1800 on your Nil Distortion. If I am grouped with 4 combat players, by the time I do my 2 debuffs, they have usually proced Nihilism for me, saving aggro and I can then nuke away. <div></div>

@Tevilspek, what 5 buffs are that? I only have 3 that I cast on a player: - Toxic Grasp - Nihilism - (forgot the name) And then Wicked Gift for the group... Did I miss some? <div></div>

Boon of the Shadows Venomous Runes <div></div>
It'd be nice if the buff icons in our maintained window flashed every time the buff in question procced but I guess that's a little too much to ask for considering the amount of other broken crap. I cast Accord, Boon of the Shadowed, Venomous Runes, Nihilism and Toxis Grasp. The first two fire quite a lot while I'm soloing so I assume they're worth casting. Not sure on the melee damage buffs. I really wish they'd change these buffs to a single target allowed and infinite duration. Casting a ton of buffs every 15 minutes is annoying. Especially considering that melee tend to run out of range all the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] time and the range on these spells is tiny. They should also change Abhorrent Gift to infinite duration but make it consume a Nil Crystal every 10 minutes or something. <div></div>

<DIV>Just my opinion but I think the Nihlism spell is bugged because half the time it says I'm out of range when I'm standing right near the mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~k</DIV>

It's a buff for meleers, that does a tiny bit of damage, but allows them to debuff the poison resist of the mob. </P> <P>When you get "out of range" it's because the game automatically aims the spell at whatever melee the mob is targetting, probably the tank. </P>

Starting with first member going to last (obv, melee only) - always annoys me to see I've only got buffs maintained on 2 when i should have 3, then you mouse over it and it lies to you about the target <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Also I nearly always use Toxic grasp to finish HOs that need the star icon (i think its toxic grasp). No long recast time on it, no worry of it being resisted </span><div></div>
