<DIV>First, with all buffs etc, my power is only 800 and health 680. I have a beserker friend ( same LVL) and she has 735 power and 1200 life. Now the life bit I get, but whats with the power? Is that normal for a Warlock lvl 23? Also, I upgraded Dark Distortion to Adept I but is tells me it will do 360- 570 Damage ( these are approximate) However, on the warlock spells post I noticed the same spell , only Apprentice IV version, doing 506-759. Should't the Adept I be better? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, I cant find anything over adpet 1 for sale that I'd want, I think I saw adept III version of accord. Is there a good place for warlock spell drops?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My Intelligence is 86 or so, seems low. Yes? no? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm I a normal 23 warlock or a late bloomer?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.S It wa ssooooo nice to deal 465 Damage in one shot.</DIV>

<P>Yup, that health/power ratio for you is probably about right for your level...and yes for some reason the Tanks get huge HP and just as much power we do too. Go figure.<BR><BR>Your best bet for Adept 3's is to find the rare item (jasper or palladium for dark distortion) and then find an alchemist and sage who can scribe it for ya. Most people will charge a lot less than what you'll see it up for sale for on the broker. Ask around on the trade channel or heritage channel to find some reputable sages and alchemists.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I can just about promise the reason the Apprentice IV showed as more damage, was that that person was higher level. If he was the same level as you, the Apprentice IV would show less damage than your Adept I. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In my 46 levels as a sage, I have never seen an Apprentice IV that was better than an Adept I.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your Adept I will do more damage than Apprentice IV. Once you've leveled some, the Adept I will be doing more than 506-759.</DIV>

Is this your 1st toon, or did you funnel several pp from your main to do this!</FONT></DIV></DIV>

86 INT is fine; I am level 24 and have an 83, although my character is a wood elf and didn't start with a spectacular amount there. Either way, I rarely have power issues when playing normally. My gear isn't the best, but it's good; you can look up my EQ2Players profile under the character name " Shirin " if you'd like to compare. I didn't post a link since it's stuck either showing my stats under resurrection sickness from dying or when I was mentoring... it should be accurate later, hopefully. <div></div>

<P>Lvl 23 i had 152int on a Half-Elf...</P> <P>as for Dark Distortion AppIV showing up as more damage... you probobly saw a picture of it from a person who was over lvl 23... therefor they had maxed out the skill like you are yet todo... remember that when you see the damage of these spells in the pictures, they are usually posted by lvl 50 warlocks and thus they have greyed out the skill and caped its damage. Also DD really starts to shine when you get Steal Breath at lvl 27, a very nice debuff.</P>

I´m lvl 46 and my Int is at 167. Don´t have a problem with missing mana. AFAIK Int does nothing else but provide power, and I never had the feeling to not have enough power. So you should be fine with your stats. <div></div>

<DIV>Level 21 with 100 int, but don't have all my equipment upgraded in to Tier 3 yet either.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And as they said. . .you are level 23 with an Adept 1 -- the screenie you looked at showed what an App 4 will do once capped at level 33. In 10 levels. . . heck, maybe in 8 levels. . . you will be doing more damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit on 6-18-05: Now level 24, normally run around with 125 INT. Still working on upgrading all the gear. . . .not much seems to get made for the mage types. Well. . . I also spent all my money on spell upgrades. Love that Adept 3 Dark Distortion! And Ice Spike too!.</DIV><p>Message Edited by DwarvesRUs on <span class=date_text>06-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:59 AM</span>

<DIV>Getting to 200int isn't really that difficult, as someone earlier said, it's just a matter of smart shopping, along with some questing. Most of the gear i have isn't spectacular, but i hold on to it non the less. I figure as a caster, who(by the grace of Innoruuk) shouldn't be getting hit, i don't have to worry about hi mitigation items. I can continue to wear lower lvl hi int items well after they grey out. Some quests u might want to try out when u get to the right lvl, are the ancient slayers ring, the vale keepers quests, etc. Also when u hit 31, look into the fog grimmin stuff, each piece has int on it, and the stats aren't horrible. As for right now, don't worry about going to much past 200 int, as it will only give u .5 points of power/ point of Int. Once the combat changes come into effect, that might change though, so be prepared.</DIV>

<P>My Intel is 98 and I am LVL 29. Like the other Warlock stated I also have some items that have greyed out on me but continue to use becuase of INT bonuses on it. My power is 1123 unbuffed and health is 1254. I have been able to find some good buys on the broker and also during questing and XP groups. Right now I am hunting and questing the Enchanted Lands and have made a good living there. One quest pays 1G 17S and thats not bad at all LOL. </P> <P>I also have a provisioner Alt to make food (I started the toon first) and I can tell you that trail Mixes and Candies nuts will Give you an INT + Wisdom Bonus. I try to keep my crafter up with my MAin in terms of Level for usability reasons and max benefits.</P> <P>My Warlock is a Craftsman workier toards woodworker so I can make my own wands someday. Right now I have a Pristine Ash Imbued (made by a friend) wand and a Symbol in the secondary. I stopped using the staff at LVL 26.</P> <P>My DD is App IV and I hit for high 500's but your adept will out damamge an App IV once you max the skill.</P>

<DIV>i would not stress about your int lvl till the combat change goes in just go with the configuration that gives you the largest mana pool at your lvl. Although till you hit 200 INT does give alot of mana. i find it had that a 30 is over 200int though just from gear he has to be including buffs. at 50 i am 215 - 230 depending on what gear i wear without buffs.</DIV>
