What is up w/ DD?

<DIV>This is my second Warlock i am making after taking a break from playing.  When i got DD at lvl 23, it did not seem as strong as last time.  This time, my DD came up at App1 lvl.  I already had an Adept 3 waiting for me so when i tested it out at App1 on a poor little gnoll, i was shocked to see the mutt comming at me w/ half his life left.  The dmg was only 230!!!  I quickly scribed my Adept 3 and did around 450 dmg this time....thats it?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If i remember right, on my last Warlock, DD did not have a App lvl.  It was simply DD, kind of like BBS at lvl 30 (a selected spell that you cant upgrade.)  What i do remember is the DMG seemed to be more w/ my last Warlock.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Did they nerf our DMG in the last update?</DIV>

<DIV>As far as im aware DD (DARK DISTORTION) has always been at app1 when you first get it. I have never played another warlock and i think at app1 mine hit 250s mostly when i first got it. App4 raised it up to 350s I think.</DIV>

Nothing has changed since the Warlock spell adjustments months ago.

<DIV>I have adpet 3 DD and it maxes out at 886 damage I believe thats the most you can do period with that spell. Nil Distortion on the other hand which the one guy I think got confused about maxes out at 2106 with adept 3.  But yes debuffs play a huge roll throw yours out then if you have any other class who debuffs poison in your group makes it even easier to hit for max.</DIV>

<P> My Warlock is Lvl 25 and I have the adept III version od DD and the App IV of suffocating breath and negaive absolution.  When I cast alone without a debuff I hit got 380-400 but after a debuff I hit from 480-550 right now.</P> <P>still XP grinding but I will say this is the most fun I have had with a charachter class!!</P>

<P>I'm not really complaining.  I mean, if i can solo Grolven Chiptooth at lvl23 now, when my last warlock couldnt solo him until lvl25...That Rocks!!!</P> <P> </P>

I still use DD at 50 run into alot of warlocks who dont have it adept 3 and when grouped with them or in raid I use my DD since its adept 3 so BSS doesnt conflict.  I would still choose BSS at 30 though as the other choices just are horrible in my opinion.  DD will still do more damage than BSS for a few levels past 30 but once they change around BSS rules unless grouped with another warlock.
