Just an info i found out after a couple of tests. It seems like Spell desciptions DoT damage numbers are actually bugged. I think the bug is in since LU6 (not the new one as their hasnt change something):Devastation Adept3:Description says: Intitial max hit 678 dmg, DoT max hit 502dmg.Practicaly tested on high end raids, as well as to exlude any possibility of Disruption Buffs to higher damage (which it doesnt do after my tests) on lvl15 mobs in commonlands, DoT dmg is average ticking at around 640, with a highest tick i found was 692.Chaotic Maelstrom:Adept1 Desciption says 88 max dmg for the DoT, practically it ticked for 82 to 102 dmg, average over 93.I too tested the other not mastered DoTs and its all the same in all of them, but had no time to test the already mastered spells if its too the same there...

<DIV>The numbers aren't wrong.  They're for comparing against some-value of Resistance.  Are you debuffing these mobs first?  If so, then you that is why your numbers are showing differently than the examination of the spells are showing now.  Remember, DoTs are now affected by resistance, which as you see, means you can do more damage with your DoTs now if you debuff.</DIV>

That is true, but direct damage numbers in spell desciption also show there maximum values against a theorethicaly oponent with 0 resistance, there is just no reason that DoTs show numbers in other ways
