<DIV>What is witht he Silent Nerf to Devistation by Sony? checked out my spells today to see what was changed and low and behold Devistation now became worthless. this spell got some changes including putting the caster in aspect of vul after spell finishes BUT it will no longer work against Epic mobs. Meaning that we just lost our highest lvl spell in raids. That leaves us with your lvl 37 nil distortion as our only DD attack in raids. where as a Warlock has and can still use there lvl 50 ice comet.  this makes us almost worthless in raids now. Can sonly PLS explain your Thinking in this and why you would do something like this to the warlocks?</DIV>

not saying you're wrong but one thing to be wary of is where in the description is says it won't work on Epic mobs. Many people have a hard time figuring out the bulletized descriptions. If it's indented more than another part of the description, it doesn't mean the entire spell doesnt work, just that particular aspect of the spell. Again, not saying you're wrong or don't know the above info, I'd just rather see a screenshot of it since I'm not lvl 50 and can't check it out on my own.

It's not needed to be used on epic encounters, nerf seems a waste of time. So far I just use dots/curses nil distortion and bss on epic's. I do stacks of damage over the fight, devastation would only increase dps slightly on an epic mob. Netheros is good too! <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

devastation still works as a DoT just the secondary effect will not work on the epic encounter...that is all...i used 3 times today and still did exactly what its done before.

Did you even test this before posting?  Devestation works just fine on Epic mobs.  The Aspect of Vul stun part always has had the "Does not work on Epic Mobs" flag, ever since I've had the spell at least, and its always worked fine.  It DID take a damage hit in LU6 with the DoT changes, but thats old news now and can be overcome on single targets by debuffing fully first.  Fought many, many epic encounters last night and it worked on everything (Arch Lich, King Zalak, Overlord, Broxx, Daranthar)

<DIV>Besides, if you want to talk high end raiding, wizards don't really have Ice Comet as many of the mobs are immune to cold.</DIV>

I'd add spelling the name of the skill they're falsely whining about incorrectly in the first place <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. <div></div>
