Fair price for Dark Distortion Adept 3?

<DIV>Im new to the game, just hit lvl 21 and while out harvesting i got a rough jasper.  I sent a tell to a sage and asked them the price of a dark distortion adept 3 if i provide the jasper.  They told me they would do it just for a donation.  So we meet up and  i trade them the jasper and i put a gold in and they immediately cancel it,  zone away,  and tell me to forget it, that the fuel cost more than that.  When i asked how much would be a "fair donation" they just told me they will sell it for 30 gold.  Although i cant imagine why they wouldnt tell me how much they wanted for it, what is considered a good price for that scroll?   Also what is a easier way to find a sage, this was the first one i have found so i know im doing something wrong.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im on permafrost.</DIV>

<P>Well that sage probably not to much off but still ...</P> <P>Making Nox Bolt Adept 3 from raw material as starting point - 3gp to make ink of it (1-2gp for lower tier I presume) 3gp fee for combine of tier 4 spell (and this is the really nice price, and it's our best sage) plus since its my twink I droped 4gp as a tip from gratefull customer. So 6-10gp + opal = 1 Tier 4 Adept 3, For tier 3 I'd expect it be cheaper but not 10X cheaper <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> so 3-5gp + jasper should do it</P>

<DIV>try and find an alchemist to make it into ink for you then get your spell made. And ask if the alchy wants to keep the loam for discount or make sure you get it. Hunt around for a sage to do it reasonably priced after all its a level 23 combine and if im not mistaken sages can still use tier 2 stuff to make adept 3's of all tier.</DIV>
