View Full Version : **ZOMG** is this armor quest crap you've given us?
<DIV>Please explain this to me:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Nicksels Robe +4 INT (our main most important stat) +5 health +10 power +11 vs disease +27 magic 29 AC (receive at level 19ish for becoming a warlock and way grey by 23)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Silver Touched (20+ time sink bull**ZOMG** armor) +5 AGI +4 STA +18 Health +14 Power +101 Disease +67 Magic 79 AC (received at around level 24 for finishing hugely stupid armor quests) [Removed for Content] I get stronger but stupider as I progress? **ZOMG** was I doing from 20 to 24 lifting weights and smoking crack?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok yeah the resists and AC are a lot better which is great if we live a life of grabbing aggro like a bunch of freaking [Removed for Content]. But as a caster, explain to me **ZOMG** we lose 4 INT on quest armor supposedly designed for our class. Do I become less intelligent as I grow in levels and work on quest armor? **ZOMG** is this **ZOMG**? The way this calculates based on the + power on the armor 1INT = about 6 power.....so I basically lose THE 2 most important things in a castes world as I progress through these quests and this is JUST the robe. I haven't even added inthe loss from the other pieces because i was too annoyed about the chest.<BR></DIV> <DIV>Is it possible that maybe you guys could look at our armor and give us some that might actually be used. At current what am I supposed to do choose armor which mitigates damage I shouldn't even be taking or choose armor which actually makes me a better caster?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This has to be the stupidest thing you've ever done other than releasing SWG</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I have to say, I concur with what Brig is saying. The Quest Armours are not really personal at all. I can't figure out if they're supposed to be that way, or if they are something to be replaced later on. In any case, they certainly don't do the warlock class credit right now. Nor wizard, coercer, illusionist or any other mage class, as far as I can tell. Take the gloves for instance ... what's the big idea with having WIS on them instead of Int? It fortunately got better with the bracers, they have like 5 Int on them. Boots. Yes, they were a huge upgrade for me, but that's basically because I knew I'd get them later on, and therefore decided to stay in my Jboots until then. The boots have 4 agi and 4 sta. Not exactly mageish stats no? But then again, both of these will benefit certain mages, to have better avoidance and higher health. Again, first part being for the mage getting aggro alot, and second part for the mage who gets himself damaged in some way. I'd rather have some Intelligence. Shawl. Again, a huge disappointment. 4 wis?!Legs. I haven't gotten them myself yet, but I'm close. Now here's at least a step in the right direction. 6 Int is great.Robe. As pointed out by Brig, this is some strange stats for something supposed to be our new robe for like 6 levels. I should never have started looking up the items in the database, but seeing that the gloves had wis on them, I actually got confused, thinking that Wisdom might be the main ability for Warlocks? My point with all this is - please, SOE, try to do something to make this armour class-specific. Or, perhaps, include some new quests later on that are. Because...this armour isnt that great.
its the same for many tanks... much of the heavy plate armor i've seen has stats like +5int +3sta +3 agi +xx resistances....something is not right here

<DIV>Seems like every class gets the same thing with different AC numbers. SOE obviously spent little time making the armor quest. I hope they change it soon</DIV>
<DIV>ok where the hell we get our quest armours from??</DIV> <DIV>hehe </DIV>

<DIV>On the boot thing if you own jboots, I just keep em in my pack for when i want to run somewhere, pop em on and take them off when I am at my destination and put on my quested boots or boots of malace.</DIV>
Quest starts in Eddar Grove in Qeynos, not sure about freeport, the gal in the walled 'stone yard' by the Monk training building on western side of zone.
