Alright, I'm a level 17 Wizard ( Just started playing EQII ) and I've gathered 2-3 points and ofcourse I only have one option for my first achievement point. ( The Familiar ) and now I'm decieding or trying to fiqure out where should the other points go ? I am hoping to be able to solo my way fairly far. If anyone could help me out that'd be great!~ Thanks!

I am a new wizard myself (level 13) and if you have EoF, from what I have read, put them into the Magi shielding line of the EoF AAs. I have 4 in that line now and currently have a 28point regenerative ward (regens 50% every tick) that makes soloing much easier.

I am going to do the 10 in magi shielding to start then work my way down the WIS line to max the other ward and then figure it out from there. There are many others here who obviously have much more experience than I, but as a fellow newb wizard I can tell you that the ward is fabulous.

I have leveled a Fae wizzy to 50 in the last month and currently have 52 AAs. Be warned that I am a structured person and like to see my plans accomplished. That said, some people may not like having their points planned out waaaayy ahead of time :smileywink: No one said this was the "best" build but I like it and it suites my play style. Also note, this was not my first toon, it was my 6th toon.:smileyvery-happy: I'm just trying to put some ideas on the table.

First the Sorcerer tree.
1. Pump all AA into the +4 INT. Giving you +32 INT, which matters a lot early on. INT tree = 8-0-0-0-0 points. 9 AAs total.
2. Put all AAs into the STA line. STA tree = 4-4-8-0-0 points. Let's you solo a little better for a while. 25 AAs total.
3. Respec and dump all AAs to STR line for the Catalyst ability. Bigger nuke. STR tree = 4-4-4-4-8, all other trees now empty.

Next part goes into Wizard tree.
1. Now the magi shielding with 10 points.
2. Then various fire abities until you have 21 points in Wizard tree.
3. At 21 points, respec and dump all AAs into power lines (you will have to fill them up 100%). 20 points to power abilities and the last one goes to Manaburn.

AA Summary at this point: 46 points spent.
25 points in Sorcerer tree for Catalyst.
21 points in Wizard tree for Manaburn.
Now you have two great damage spells for soloing named and saving your group when things happen =) I have used manaburn to save groups in many bad situations by finishing off the enemy we attacked so that we can handle a new add.

Next back to Sorcerer tree.
1. Pump points into WIS tree for Freehand. Bigger nukes. WIS tree = 4-8-0-0-0. 58 AAs total. (((I'm at this point currently)))
2. Pump more points into WIS tree for damage boost. Bigger nukes. WIS tree = 4-8-4-8. 70 AAs total.
3. Pump the last Sorcerer tree point into STR for a little more crit %. STR tree 4-4-4-5-8. 71 AAs total. **Sorcerer tree is full at this point.

Lastly back to Wizard tree.
1. Piercing Icicles to 3 points. 74 AAs total.
2. Shocking Flash to 3 points. 77 AAs total.
3. Freezing wind to 5 points. 82 AAs total.
4. Ice Comet to 5 points. 87 AAs total.
5. Surging Tempest to 5 points. 92 AAs total.
6. Fusion to 5 points. 97 AAs total.
7. Then back to Shocking Flash for 2 more points for the total 5 points. 99 AAs total.
8. Piercing Icicles for 1 more point for a total of 4 points. 100 AAs total. **Wizard tree is full at this point.

As you may have guessed by now, I like large nukes :smileyhappy: That's why I'm playing a wizard.

FINAL OVERVIEW:
Sorcerer Tree:
-- STR = 4-4-4-5-8 for crit % and Catalyst.
-- WIS = 4-8-4-8-0 for Freehand and 8% damage boost. Note: can't use Secondary slot.
Wizard Tree:
-- Power tree has 21 points for more power, buffed mana recharge abilities and Manaburn.
-- Ice tree has 29 points for fully buffed ice abilities.

~~ Limoncello ~~ Crushbone ~~ 50 Wizard Twink of Bling the Jeweler ~~

Message Edited by knightcycle6am on 12-19-2006 08:21 AM

I don't think you can take more than 4 points in the "Enhance: Surging Tempest". I don't use the AA setup you do, but by the way you place yours, I think putting the one point you haven't placed yet in "Enhance: Rending Icicles" would be a good idea.

Rending Icicles is a great place to put AAs mostly due to the fact that it will increase damage i had 5 AAs in that ability untill i respeced for manaburn but needless to say with a master and the 5 AA points the debuff was almost 1500, this will up damage quite a bit. BUt yes the aforementioned build will net huge numbers, maybee not the most controllable dps or the higest, but that is another arguement, it will make really good dps, personally i have agi 4/4/4/8/8 and wis 4/5/4/8 i think any ways this gives 14.4% faster casting speed 12% faster recasts the always needed 8% from brianstorm and only 24% for freehand, but i prefer steady dps that is controllable rather than sparadic massive hit dps, both can yield about the same dps it just depends on play style, i use to usse the str and wis AA, but i found that i personally like the agi/wis AA combo a bit better. But that is very thought out line up as well for dps.. i did an interesting wizzy tank AA combo and found it quite amusing, i could get myself to 43% mit at lvl 70 with 49% avidance, that is roughly 2500 mit for the point value, also had 10 points into magi shielding giving 534 point ward. I posted that set up in a different thread on new wizzys AAs.
