Ok I have been dueling recently wiht my guild mates and getting very fustrated.... Every single spell I cast gets resisted... All my spells are adpet 3 or higher... a swashi can cut me down with autoatack in less time then it take to cast some spells yet I cant cast anything that might slow them down or give me a second to cast.  what am I doing wrong?

<DIV>dueling as a wizard...</DIV> <DIV>thats as sad as i cant get heh</DIV> <DIV>i firmly believe that wizards are one of the worst dueling classes in the game, its just the way our class works</DIV> <DIV>we got no mitigation / not much avoidance, so we get hit a ton</DIV> <DIV>we have low HP compared to many other classes, so we die faster</DIV> <DIV>and our ONLY source of DPS is casting spells, and since getting hit can easily interupt our casting, basicly any melee class can own us unless we can get a root off realy fast</DIV> <DIV>basicly dueling as a wizard is a lost cause against most classes unless your </DIV> <DIV>A) a bit higher level than them</DIV> <DIV>B) they have TERRIBLE gear / resists </DIV> <DIV>C) they have NO clue how to play thier class</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i did a LOT of dueling for a bit there, and im fully fabled with every spell in my spellbook (except [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] ice flame......) master 1 or better and know how to duel as a wizard, and the only classes i can beat are other wizards and warlocks, beyond that unless the person falls into one of those things i said earlier, they got a huge advantage over a wizard in a duel</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>oh yah you can also win duels if you time your fusion just right and it hits them right when the duel starts, other than that just accept defeat heh</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>then again i havent tried dueling since EoF, but all my previous comments stand for before this most recent expansion</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

The game wasn't designed for pvp.<div></div>

<DIV>lol are you serious? you said we have an advantage over brawlers in a duel?</DIV> <DIV>that has to be a joke</DIV> <DIV>brawlers tear apart casters (and MANY other classes out there) in a matter of seconds lol</DIV> <DIV>only class we have an advantage over dueling is warlocks, big spike damage vs dots seems to pay off in the end for us</DIV> <DIV>everyone else if played by a good player with comparable gear, we get owned</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
