View Full Version : Trio Options- Advice needed...
Hi all. Myself and two friends are planning on starting a trio. I am a long time EQ2 player, they are both brand new. One of them wants to be a paladin while the other wants to be an assasin. I have narrowed my choices down to either Wizard or Conjuror. (I realize we would probably be better off if I was some kind of priest but that doesn't appeal to me) So my question is: which would you guys recommend? I realize I may get a biased answer by being on the Wizard board but please do your best to be objective. On the one hand I want to just blast stuff and from what I understand a Wizard is quite good at that. On the other hand I have seen quite a few parses of conjuror's beating out wizards at the top of the parse. While being at the top of the parse isn't my main concern, I do want to pick whichever class is most going to help our trio (conjuror or wizard). So that being said any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot. Iliar- 62 Swashbuckler of Kithicor

I have a low level wiz. But for your trio I would say to pick a conj. With no healer and 2 dps it might work good to have your tank pet to help out. That is just what i would do.

Wizard / Wizard / FuryPally / Wizard / FuryGuardian / Wizard / FuryFury might be the way to go if someone likes DPS. If you're going to do a trio, you'll need some sort of healing, even with a root / nuke strategy.

yah if you really dont wanna go with a healer, make a conjy, but if you really want to make the best of that trio, make a fury / warden, they can do more dps than most healers and are gonna really give you the ability to rock through most stuff

not having a healer could realy slow ya down at times unless you got good spells / gear / knowledge of your classes inside and out

I play a Coercer and WIzard and have no trouble going through ^^^'s in seconds. If they cant hit you then you dont need to worry about healing at all. I would go with wizard, assassin and illusionist / coercer (I think coercer get more stuns).

Dont forget the pally acually have healing spells.. not as a true healer.. but enough to keep a high dps group goíng.. so if you do a pally/assian/wiz trio.. think you gonna do pretty well at least when you grown a bit My wiz have often duo with pallys.. and it rocks
Message Edited by Timbersky on 10-09-2006 02:19 AM

If you add a Deflier with a Wizard and some other class and they both have great equipment, you can mow down a lot of content.
