Okay this is the same problem I had in Everquest 1 with my wizard there and partly why I stopped playing him once I got to level 40 or 39, can't remember eactly which on. Getting groups or even putting together a group has become to much like work and I'm really starting to get sick up it. Especailly because I love playing my Wizard.I don't think I'm a bad one. The times I've gotten groups recently I've always come away at the end with thanks from the other group members. From keeping damage shields up, providing a lot of damage, not pulling aggro by over nuking (though has happen once or twice). I like to think I'm pretty good at the role. Especially after playing on in EQ1, playing casters in Dark Age of Camelot (Elditch), and a NanoTech in Anarchy Online. I know how some can feel about having a bad wizard on the team but I don't think I've made a bad name for myself which is good and I don't think is the problem.Maybe I'm on a bad server. Crushbone but it does seem to be one of the more heavyly populated ones. Is there some trick I have to do in order to get into groups? At level 30 do I have to bite the bullet and group with mid 20s in order to get more levels up in order to hunt with 30s?Do I have to beg to get into groups? This I actually did at one point in EQ1 to some degree (to many pleases in ooc messages). Going to find groups invs and sending tells to members to find the leader in hopes of getting on a list. I don't even think it should have to come to that. Not only that but it's demeaning too I feel. So in order not to do that I've taken to starting other classes. Have a 21 Warden now as a result, 14 necro, etc. While nice, it isn't want I really want which is to play my Wizard and view more of the game. My guild has been good about things but I can't stop them from enjoying the game, especailly with them being higher in level then me.So any advice on getting groups? Are there any certain guilds I should consider having my wizard join? Perhaps starting over on a new server? etc?I know people say starting your own groups helps but have tried that and things just fall apart and I don't like leading (which is why I don't play a tank character to begin with).Thanks.
