AA line and single slot weapon

<DIV>I have been working on my wisdom line and there are abilities that only work if I don't have an item in my secondary slot. Couple questions:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. If I make a macro that unequips my 2 handed staff, casts my free hand sorcery, re-requip, and then cast a spell, will this work? or will re-equipping cancel the freehand sorcery buff?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. It seems like I am giving up a whole lot of +int if I leave that secondary slot empty. Do the +wisdom bonus to spell damage (not including freehand sorcery) make up for the 10 points (or more) of int I lose at level 52?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. Should there be a mage type 1 handed weapon I should be questing for (I'm level 52) that will have better +int? 1. Dont know, havnt tried.   2. 10 int, or upgrading ALL your damage spells by 8%, effectivly upgrading spells  ~2 quality notches, ie Adept 1 to Adept 3, or Master 1 to Master 3.<div></div>3. Godking quested 1 hander is worth the time, and can be done solo up till the last few parts where you will need a group to farm eyes and a raid to kill godking.  Sounds like alot of work but its arguably one of the best mage one handers in the game, and can be started at around level 60.

Just bite it and take the INT loss.  Especially by the time you hit 70, you'll have so much INT, having one less slot eqiped won't make a difference.If the 10 or so INT is that important to you, get some INT potions.<div></div>

1. Freehand may work. brainstorm won't.  Once you start down brainstorm forget the secondary slot as this is our best AA.2. IMO the damage more than makes up for it and eventually you should max your intel without a secondary slot item.  Intel potions fill the gap til then.3. Once you reach KOS Grizzfazzles is one of the best one handers, fairly easily obtained with a decebt 10% proc that hits on successful spells.  You can make a macro to unequip your 2h staff, but it still won't work, because you need to have a 1h crushing weapon in your primary. Do the peacock quest line and get your wand of 2nd life, it's a must have. As far as your secondary, at 70, you won't even miss it. Even if there was no damage increse from the wis aa line, ward of sages by itself would still be worth the empty slot.<div></div>
