Hey all,  I've been browing these forums and doing a bunch of searches to get a feel for the class, but the impression I am getting is that Wizards do huge damage, but have no real utility.  So I made a Wizard, and I am only level 9, but I'm finding myself kinda bored.I really like my SK.  I have lots of skills to use, I have the ability to tank, offtank, Heal myself or others through buffs, DPS, etc.  I have a lot of stuff to manage.  I really like this.My question is on how a Wizard plays.  Is it nothing but hitting long cast-time DD and DoTs?  Just damage and nothing but?  I mean, I really love doing huge damage numbers, but I'm already bored out of my mind with "Cast DD spell 1, Cast DD spell 2, Cast DoT 1, Cast DoT2"(not neccesarily in that order).  Does it get any better, or am I looking for another class?I'm looking for a group friendly damage dealer that also has at least some utility and takes some effort to play.I'd appreciate any help in this matter.  Perhaps Wizard just isn't for me.<div></div>

For the most part tanks will be able to solo blue and green heriocs. Wizards can solo yellow heriocs and some melee only named. Wizards also have invis which makes sneaking around alot easier. If you like to solo then keep a wizzy, I solo all the time. I think it's more fun to play a tank in a group so if you like grouping more than maybe a tank is better option for you. The use of your spells and timing is critcal when soloing with your wizzy, at lv 9 you don't have a large selection to play with. At lv 9 your basicaly hitting the same nuke button over and over again. <div></div>

You'll end up with a mixture of big DD spells, DOTs, dumbfire pets and various solo and group procs.  Wizard is all about doing damge, we have a very defined role.  If that doesn't interest you, you won't like wizard.<div></div>

Wizzies have one utility that is really usefull : <b>feeding</b>.Not very usefull, not always needed, but sometimes it is good.Yesterday, for example, we were in Halls of Seeing and our rangers were all in holidays (neg 200 dkp). Then we needed more time to kill those named who have tons of HPs. This means a lot of healing to tanks, and both wizzies had to stop damaging to help tanks and healers keep some power.I love damaging, and I don't like feeding (not only you loose a lot of damages, but it is dangerous, because you need to be not far from tank, then not far from AE, and one of our spells is a stun !) but that's a task we can do.<div></div>
