I started playing this wizard on July 13th and am almost level 41 now. During this time I have done a mix of solo and groups, altho no raids yet. Since day 1, I started counting how many Wizard Adept and Master scrolls I have seen drop. Wizard Adept 1 Scrolls - 3Wizard Master 1 Scrolls - 0In about 1 1/2 months of play, nonstop killing of trash and boss mobs and I have seen dozens of just about every classes adepts dropped. I have seen at least 2 of each and every class Master scrolls drop, except wizard.[expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] is up with this SoE?Mythor<div></div>

This is normal. Go buy your adepts off the broker <div></div>

Why is this normal? Wizards are supposed to have a disadvantage to acquiring their spells?Even going to the broker rarely garners anything you can afford. I see very few Wizard Masters or Adept 3's that dont cost about as much money as I have made in total since i started playing this game. Seems really screwed up imo.<div></div>

Yea it seems par for the course from what I've seen. Since KoS came out, I think I've seen half a dozen wizard masters drop in our guild (with dozens of active players). What I think may be happening is related to the lotto wierdness. When the server goes to generate a spell scroll it probably has a list of classes (assassin through wizard), and does a random to pick. Since wizard is at the bottom of the list, it may have a lower liklihood of getting chosen. This is all speculation, would need a very large sample set of data across the board to really tell if this is hapenning, and only SoE could do that.In any case, going to the broker is your best bet.

<P>Wow, those are some rather interesting theories regarding why this particular person has seen so few wizard Adept 1s and Master 1s drop. Given the amount of data you have provided, and assuming that scroll type is randomly selected (keep reading), it is not inconceivable that only three Adept 1s and no Master 1s dropped. Although I've noticed a higher frequency of a few spells dropping, such as Shrieking Haze Master 1 (the T7 "replacement" of Spellwhip Master 1), I've not seen enough evidence to suggest that wizard spells drop with any less frequency than other spells, and I have seen many hundreds drop since the release of KoS.</P> <P>In statistics, the phenomenom that you have encountered is commonly referred to as "bad luck".</P>

"In statistics, the phenomenom that you have encountered is commonly referred to as "bad luck"."So, it is bad luck across for the entire server of Butcherblock? Because since about level 20 I started checking the broker at least twice a day for my future spells and have NEVER seen Masters for Ball of Flames, Intimidating Blaze, Ice Comet etc... these are just 3 I have been really wanting. The answer of "Buy them from the broker" is about as useful as a cop in a donut shop when the spells you are trying to buy are never for sale.I have spoken with quite a few wizards on my server and have yet to speak to one that had a couple of the spells I have been looking for.Acquiring some spells should be hard yet, but nigh impossible?<div></div>

<P>only spell i would say is impossible to get is Ice Flame master 1</P> <P>i got all the rest of the spells master, that one eludes me, it pisses me off to no end to have ONE [Removed for Content] spell i still need master 1 and ill prolly never get it</P> <P>beyond that, just tell ur friends and guildies what spells ur lookin for, have them help you out in finding the ones you need, thats where a lot of mine came from</P>

<DIV>Homechicken, as far as I am aware, Ice Flame (Master 1) does not exist. It is not in the EQ2Players.com database, which I believe means that it has not been discovered. So congrats on being mastered out!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Regarding the commonness of wizard masters on the broker, I have found that this is easily explained by logic. Tons of wizards, the same number of wizard masters as masters for any other class (roughly, I am assuming given the drop rates I have seen) = wizards snapping up masters as soon as they are available = less visible availability on broker. Pretty much every guild has at least a few wizards and, as a result, wizard masters are often just kept in guild. The spells you mentioned are, of course, the more highly sought after ones as wizards generally want spells that go kaboom. This is why most of us selected this class.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Best of luck in your hunt for masters.</DIV>

Buy or trade for your spells. At 70 I have seenroughly 20 Adept 1 drops0 Master 1 dropsThe masters I have are from buying or from guild members giving them to me. Keep in mind that when a spell drops, there is a 1 in 24 chance you'll get one you can use. Most classes don't come across the spells they need.<div></div>

<P>How is the distribution of classes on your server? If there are more wizards, the chances of finding what you want on the broker go down.</P> <P> </P>

Oddly enough, I have found quite a few Wizzy adept I's. I've been playing for close to a month now and I have found at least 5 Adept I's. The only master's I tend to find are always Troub/Dirge crap which NEVER seems to sell. As far as the prices go, what sucks about starting a MMO so late in the game, is that, most people just price crap high, figuring someone who already has a level 70 and a plenty of plat, will be the one purchasing it. So, even if the item is really only worth 30g, it'll go for 1plat because someone's alt wants it and 1plat isn't much if you have a level 70 main. I make most of my money selling rares that I don't need for crafting and so far that has been working out really well. <div></div>

I try to save all masters I get in the hopes that I can trade them for the masters that I see on broker. </P> <P>The only nice thing is that KOS will not have a level cap, so there is going to continue to be more 57-70 masters on the broker than there has been in the last expansion. So save up and try to make a deal for the masters you want the most.</P>

I have given away 9/10 masters that I find and that kindness has payed itself back many many times. I have only looted 2 wiz masters while playing Ball of Lava and Fiery Convulsions. The rest are broker bought or gifts, and the gifts so far have been the nicest ones ( Ice Nova <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ). So I am happy at not being a terribly rich 70 selling looted masters, my wealth lies in other areas.-Acelia 70 Wizard of Nektulos<div></div>

As far as the bloodlines spells are concerned, they *do* exist. Unfortunately they are no trade, and from what i have gathered, drop in the raid instance in bloodlines.Copy and paste the following item link in game for an example:aITEM 2050870391 1898630669:Spirit of the Bat (Master I)/a<div></div>

<div></div><div></div>MIA Masters: Ice nova Incapacitate Surgeing temptest Forge of Ro Numbling Cold Firestorm Ice Nova I understand will probably never hit the broker for a long time but the other 5 I've never seen on the broker, I think they're rare even for masters. I've personnaly have looted Ball of Lava, Ice shield, Friged Gift and Singularity Masters. Fusion, Ring of Frost and Corona were given to me by guildmates.I I've bought Irriadate, Cease, Proinferno and Phoniexblade off the broker. The rest of the spells I've got in adept3, 2/3 of them I mined the rare myself or looted the rare, the other thrid I bought the rare off the broker. My point? Don't expect to get all your Masters/adept's1 or 3s from one source. <div></div><p>Message Edited by suroktheslayer5 on <span class="date_text">08-29-2006</span> <span class="time_text">10:22 AM</span></p><p>Message Edited by suroktheslayer5 on <span class=date_text>08-29-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:24 AM</span>

<DIV>Wizards are a very highly played class and are in both cities. So the cost of their spells is going to account for that. I just hit 60 and have seen so many stinking wizard LFG around my level I am thinking of rerolling a warlock just to be different.</DIV>

<DIV>It is probably just your server, I am a 36 wiz, and have had at least 4 or 5 master drops and at least 10-15 adept 3 drops. I am currently on the blackburrow server</DIV>

I've been actually thinking the contrary, and that Wizard spells drop much more frequently than certain other classes. I'm only a 70 Assassin, but my g/f is a 70 Wizard and has pretty much every master but Ice Nova.. they drop pretty frequently for her. Our guild has had to sell some on the broker because we get repeats. (Ball of Lava, all the buffs, Firestorm come to mind) And to the above poster I've seen Firestorm master drop about 4 times in Palace of the Awakened on the top floor.. same mobs you need to kill for that hoo'loh quest. <div></div>

I know I watch the broker for Masters, and anything above t5 seems to be few and far between. The last couple weeks have been good though. I am lvl 53 but starting watching for t7 masters. I managed to grab Ball of Lava, Fusion, and Ring of Frost masters. I have been watching for a long time though, and still watching for Ice Nova and a few buffs.<div></div>
