I usually just tell my familiar to stay at some random spot when I plan on staying in a zone for awhile because I don't like having a little critter follow me everywhere.  It takes awhile from the whole "Wizard" feel (if I wanted a pet to follow me everywhere I'd just play my Necro).Anybody know if I'm still getting the buff when I do this?<div></div>

I wish they would just ditch it and make it a buff already.  SO annoying. <div></div>

Should please those who like it running around, (which doesn't include me tho).</div>

<div></div>Too many times do I hear this irritating flapping noise and its my familiar having a fit or trying to hump some random peice of terrain that it has got stuck on.An on/off display option would be good.<div></div><p>Message Edited by Wilko1981 on <span class=date_text>08-23-2006</span> <span class=time_text>09:41 AM</span>

<DIV>The OP mentioned being able to tell his familiar to stay instead of follow. I am a level 38 wizard and my familiar doesn't appear to have a way to be interacted with. Is there a different familiar spell that we are talking about?</DIV>
