<DIV>Just a quick question to ask all you fellow wizzy's out there. I have a level 60 wizard and my int buffed is around 485  I haven't really noticed that much of a damage difference since I went above 450 on my spells. Is there something that I am missing or are we capped for damage at a certain level? I know the usuall rule of thumb is (level X 7 + 20) is where the cap applies, so is it even worth it to worry about increasing my Int any more? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for your help,</DIV> <DIV>Dazz</DIV>

The int cap is around 510 when you are 70.It scales as you level so your damage from the same spell can go down when you level if your not above the new cap.<div></div>

If its lvl*7 + BASE, then those that picked a race of higher intel are being penalized. When the hell is SOE going to fix this [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]?

How is that being penalized?</div>

<P>If you wish to confirm the maximum intelligence from which you receive benefit, try playing around with your equipment to adjust your intelligence and watch how it affects the damage of a spell such as Ice Comet or Ice Nova.  Sure enough, once you have (7 x level + 20) intelligence, any additional intelligence results in no additional damage.  This damage increase barrier on intelligence also is the power increase barrier, meaning that any additional intelligence does not result in additional power.  Keep in mind that by swapping your equipment around, your power may vary independent of your intelligence as a result of the difference in power bonus provided by the equipment.</P> <P>I believe that Glenolas posted an informative, detailed study on this topic over six months ago if you are interested.</P><p>Message Edited by claimabstract on <span class=date_text>08-23-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:19 PM</span>
