<DIV>im sure everyone at some point of playing their wizard has looked at the AA' paths and had some tough decisions at one time or another but im wondering if anyone has some actual numbers or proof that wis line with fhs is really all its cracked up to be.....i personally went  wis and str  lines and somehow convinced myself that wis line was the be all end all of AA's but recently our guild has recruited an extra troub n pally which im grouped with everynight and with their dehate buffs i never pull aggro no matter what i cast . i can run up first cast and use fusion and its not a problem.....if i wanted to that is, but now that i dont pull aggro i was wondering if i were to go recast times and casting speed  with crit line and give up wis and freehand  would i be able to dish out insane dps.....most of my gear has the best dmg procs in game and was wondering if faster cast times would or could change or lower the proc rate...or allow for more?  its hard to decide which is best.....as of right now i can parse on all raid encounters 1400+  on ae mobs 2500+   ......but im still wondering if im losing out somehow....wis line with the base dmg increase seems real nice at first but when you actually start to look at it ...it doesnt gaurentee anything or really give you any extra dmg just allows for bigger hits at the top of your spell range correct? so having said that can anyone out there maybe help clarify things for me and gimme a lil extra help in deciding before i screw it all up with a dumb respec lol    thanks   .  oh just incase anyones wondering   lvl 70 wiz .</DIV>

i went with wis/str originally, then wis/agil, then now str/agil, and i think i do most dmg with str/agil.. imo u can compare wis line to agil line, cause the less cast times u get, will just even out with the dmg, so techinally wis/agil should give most dmg :p but then again, crit+the 100% on nova > 8% dmg. its late and maybe that only made sence in my own head, but whatever :p<div></div>

I won't comment on the aa lines since i don't know what's better. At the moment i switched from str/wis to agi/wis to see for myself how that is, but i haven't been able to test it enough to know how good it is.<blockquote><hr>painkiller75 wrote:<div>most of my gear has the best dmg procs in game and was wondering if faster cast times would or could change or lower the proc rate...or allow for more? </div><hr></blockquote><font color="#ffffff">Faster casting times should mean that you proc more often, since you'll cast more spells and it'll only check the base casting time.</font>

To me Wisdom is a must choice then its up to the players style.  Brainstorm is the best AA of all with a passive 8% increase in all damage including base and criticals.  Freehand is arguably the second best AA.  After that to me the choice is to go faster spells or more damage.  These choices are player style as they should give very similar dps results.  Personally after trying faster spells I chose criticals which burn less mana for more damage.  Catalyst is my favorite AA, and I precast it every pull on our raid so that I can get catalyst on Nova and Fusion almost back to back. <div></div>
