Did fusion get nerfed or is it just me

I was playing last night and I noticed htat when I fusioned if 1 of the mobs was not directly infront but still in the cone it would get knockedback but only take like 2k damage anyone else have this issue.as a side note does anyone know when the fuision cone is calculate IE at the start of the cast or end of the cast?

I didn't notice anything when we cleared Deathtoll last night.  I was hitting all three mobs for 20k+.  Seemed to be working fine for me.
