I might be wrong, but my understanding of Fusion is that its Frontal only, so 45 degrees either side of where you are facing, and within 5 metres is the range.

Yes that picture does say it all. You are so not facing the right way or the right distance imo.I am glad for LU25 giving me Fusion M1 through a fellow PVP Qeynosian for 5p.I Fusioned the fury in my sig as you can see

I'm trying to make a macro for it.Right now I have 2 :one with autoattack on, then freehand then fusion (was the right one, 2 weeks ago, but now I have 50 aas)one with freehand, catalyst, fusion (but i loose a lot of time trying to see if I'm at the right place with right direction)Can't find a syntax that allows me to autoattack, freehand, catalyst, fusion

Well I confess I turned around to face the camera because vanity is everything

However I didn't know about the autoattack range trick, I will have to try that and see if that helps! Thank you very much for the tip there! I knew I was holding a weapon for some reason other than summoning a pretty familiar ... now was it pointy end into OTHER guy, or .... hmm .... :smileywink:

pic does say it all.... Standing on the mob is not considered frontal. need to back yourself up a little then cast it. takes practice as well as a tank that knows that it is up to help position it and u can get 3 mobs

Hell, I'd just be happy to have a tank that can sit still for a minute while I line up and cast that dang spell ... LOL

That is so true. Some tanks just have happy feet. Sometimes they stop for a couple sec and then move when Im half way through casting. Especially fun in vaults of El'arad where the tank gets ping-ponged around the halls.-Acelia

Try assisting a tank when they pull several encounters, and there swapping mobs.. And you gotta find behind each mob and start attacking.. Then they whine when yous top assisting.

I too have horrible difficulty getting this spell to land on more than one mob. Im extreamly lucky if it hits two. I NEVER get it to hit 3.

This spells area and mob placement requirement is just too touchy. Even turning on auto attack and insanly trying to solo (which i shouldnt have to do) myself, i cant get the mobs lined up correctly. Something to do with pathing, because my tanks cant get them lined up correctly either.

The spell would be more usefull to myself if the mobs cooperatied or if the spell arch was widened or the depth distance increased.

Today's chuckle:

In recent raid, I cast fusion 2 or 3 times (without gaining agro incidentally) and was politely instructed to please stay behind the mobs <sigh>

My main wish for this spell is i wish it was more group friendly. In places like HoF, Poa or even some spots in SoS i rarely get the chance to use it because of the proximity requirements and mob pathing. A wizard that gets to close to mobs in those places can wind up dead or cause a group wipe in certain areas.

Do other mage class's have point blank arch spell requirements like this, or just us wizards ?

lol.. I have yet to nuke Tarinax with Fusion.. or chel'drak. They're too nimble for something that's 1000x bigger than a gnome .. ugh!

Just practice like you are in the picture. You'll get it didi. Giants are hella tough to line up though for multiple hits. Just get a buddy to hold some aggro for ya while you get used to the range, maybe on some gnolls that are right down that hill or something.
