Tommorow I will hit lvl 30, and I have 15pp saved up. I already have a mount, so I'm looking for some really good gear. Could you all reccomend me some gear that is not no-trade and can be bought off of the broker for a lvl 30 wizard? I want to start off really equipped on this new tier.So far I want:Hex doll for INTHex doll for WISWhat armor and stuff do you think would be good? I find it kind of lame that wizards have to find their armor if they want it to have int in it, yet other classes can get an armormaker to make their stuff that has their main stat. Remember: It has to be buyable off of a broker because it's no-trade.I also am going to Adept III all my spells that I use.ph33r me!<div></div>

<P>Ummm.... give me the 15pp and I will shop for you.... really I will... I will be your Butler / Manservant...</P> <P>... I promise to return from Wal Mart with everything you need :smileytongue:</P> <P> </P> <P>Sheesh.... </P> <P> </P> <P>Erithorn</P>
don't worry so much about gear at lvl 30.. you'll fly through this level and i don't think i'll invest 15p for anything. Just buy your basic treasured gear etc.. adept 1's. Start worrying bout good gear when u start hitting lvl 57 <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Yes, buy spells adept1 and nothing else.Maybe some DD adept3 if you really wanna rock but I am not sure it is really worth while.Gear certainly is not. You'll have some big spells to buy at adept3 level and they still are expensive. And, if you are lucky, maybe you'll see a master 1 for a very good spell, prepare to spend a lot of PPS for it.<div></div>

<P>spend the dough and make a ball of fire adept 3 (or ball of flames) and upgrade your root to adept 3.</P> <P>I wouldn't spend much on gear at the lower levels unless you plan on taking a month or three till you hit lvl 40.</P> <P> </P><p>Message Edited by IllusiveThoughts on <span class=date_text>04-20-2006</span> <span class=time_text>07:30 AM</span>

<DIV>I hate these boards! I have a post written out, and get some [Removed for Content] error message that erases everything I just typed!!!! ARGH!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, simple points:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Invest only in main spells during your grind to T7 (since I doubt you'll hit 70 soon, just do your damage, buff, roots and frostshield)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>- Quest for gear...or use drops, supplement with crafted...which at your teir should be faily cheap. If not cheap on the broker, talk to a crafter, I'm sure they'll cut you a deal...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At most, maybe spend 2-3 plat per teir on spells and gear....</DIV>
<DIV>Ice Flame (Adept III)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Must have all the way to 70 even though then it's mostly used when the other timers are down. It's still a decent spell though.</DIV> <DIV>It's a lvl35 spell that comes from the Bloodlines adventure pack. (you don't need to own it though to get the spell, just need a sage that does)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Other then that and maybe Ball of * spell line I wouldn't spend any money on spells until you get into the range of max lvl cap (57+ atm). Gear is hard to find at those levels, although the revamped zones made it somewhat easier. It's not worth spending much money on gear yet either until you hit t6/7. (some pretty decent t6 rare armor out there, so I included that). Save the money for the higher tiers is what I would do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>btw.. 15p at lvl30.. [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] you're doing something right <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by sro on <span class=date_text>04-20-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:34 AM</span>

To be honest there isn't much buyable good stuff in the 30's. I would recommend u upgrade a few spells to adept 3 and save the rest for the 40's. In the 40's theres more buyable and easly quests stuff like the sleeves of swamp knowledge. So i would save it.

I found the fog grimmin gear to be adequate, and it regularly drops from them in the SW corner of EL if I am correct. I agree with the above comments that almost no money should be spent on gear levelling though T4-T6, just make do with drops. You may find a nice piece or two for cheap on the broker every once in a while, but I don't think it's likely given the number of people who are doing the T4-T6 zones.

I would seriously like to know how the heck you've got 15pp saved up by level 30. I'm almost at 1pp at lvl 26 (only char on that server, so I haven't passed any coin on from a higher char) and I thought I was doing good. <div></div>

<DIV>karlajean - Try harvesting some steel, blackened iron, rough coral, or palladium. At 20g-35g a piece you can generate plenty of cash. Also, harvesting collection items like the cracked bones and weathered bones can gather quite a bit of cash considering most people don't like to cruise the lowbie areas to get them. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>level 24 or 26 (can't remember) wrists called Cuffs of the Stormscholar.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2 Pristine Imbued opal rings of intelligence</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get a suit of Valekeeper stuff from solo quests in EL (or buy em cheap)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Necklace of Flowing Orbs (if u just buy all the shards you need, it'll level you from 30-33ish; or just buy it for 10-15g)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pristine Imbued Oak wand of X</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and your higher damage adept 3 spells (or master if u can find)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That should cost you about what you'll make grinding to 40, then you get to respend.</DIV>
<P>You might want to start checking prices on the Tae Ew Prophet Robe also. You can't wear it till 42, but if you watch the prices for a while you may find it cheap. Also look for the cape of Creation (drops from the Creator in Varsoon) - this is a fun one as it summons you a one-fight-only pet every half an hour. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I think I had a Cap of Whispers at that rank too ... but really the people saying upgrade your big nuke and AoE spells are right. Do that first, the rest is less important. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

It's really not hard to earn 15p quite legitimately by that rank, if you know what you're doing. As a test, I once rolled up a newbie on another server on which I knew nobody and had no other characters ... and managed to earn 1p by level 3, with less than 12 hours played. That was half a year ago too, it would be even easier now. Earning 15p by 35 ... easy, and completely legitimately, simply by using a little brain to figure out what people want, and selling it. Jumping all over shouting "EBAY!" at people who have more money than you do, just because you haven't taken the effort to figure out how to earn your way, only makes you look a bit silly. :p
