<div>Where is it hiding?</div><div> </div><div>I run all the top instances (NOT raid zones) with my guild on a regular basis and i NEVER see ANY fabled cloth items for a Wizard dropping. Do they even exist? </div><div> </div><div>If they do, can anyone tell me what and where they drop off of?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks</div>

Worthless - droes rope 10 int panst and a treasure necklace. DKP = Dragon Kill Points, which is the system most guilds use to track attendance and to determine loot priority. Your guild raid leaders should be able to provide you with more information.<div></div>

<div>Ah ok ty. I thought DKP was a zone or something.</div><div> </div><div>As for asking one of my guild officers, i AM one of the senior officers lol. We do raiding weekly, but we don't operate a points system of any kind as we don't like working that way. The loot gets shared out as we see fit, and we are yet to ever have a complaint. It must be working as we are the largest guild on the server now.</div>

<div></div><p>Lol its not really a question of how big you are as a guild, if you've noticed the top-end raiding guilds have normally not more than 40 members, we are one of the best raiding guilds on Runnyeye, 36 members, average lvl 60, and raid 3 or 4 times a week - Al'afaz and GoAA - great mage loot, SC too, Poets palace - return, Lockjaw, and we use the dkp system, as the raids go fast and distribution between classes is good, same person gets a new item every 3 or 4 raids in average.</p><p>Best mage loot is in Living tombs raid instance - GoAA - for example Rune stitched cap that i have, Slacks of the scholar, etc...</p>

Eventually your guild will develope problems as so-and-so got something and missed 2 raids 2 weeks ago but someone else was there for every raid and has yet to win something, or someone already won something last night, etc etc. I'm in a faily large guild, for a raiding guild (about 60 active members plus some of thier alts) that has been raiding since about April 05. We raid every T6 zone except FoL (Fountain of Life) every week and learned a long time ago (back about June) that DKP is one of the fairest and least stressful for senior leadership ways to award loot. If your guild is different and your system works long term for you, God bless you and contunued success. NBG is great and works well in small settings over the short term, but eventually everyone has a different view of their N over someone elses.</div>

When I played EQ my guild was all merit/officer awarded loot (and still are). Last I saw they were through GoD and nearing Anguish entry, with alot of DoN and DoD stuff done, as well, so it's not like it was a low-end guild. It definately can work.<div></div>

<div>The biggest thing with loot, it all depends on the people. Most "hard core" guilds need a DKP type system, simply because even if 95% of the peeps are good, that last 5% will cause problems because they are all about getting themselfs UBER. For the "smaller" or "family" guilds the assigned loot works. Frankly my guild takes the approach, if someone needs us to have DKP, we probably dont want them. Lil harsh but we play w/ friends to have fun. Thus most problems are solved because they simply don't start.</div>

We just didn't let the 5% in-ah the advantages of a long application period...<div></div>

In EQ1, I was in a guild without DKP, till we started thraveling thru the god's planes. And then we started one. Why ? just because we did not know how to be really fair with 40 people, how to manage needs without hurting some feelings : When you have 2 players who really want an object, it is very hard to say "I give to this one and not to this one", when they both have been waiting for it for a long while and they both deserve it (and maybe will not see it again for a month). In my EQ2 guild, we also started a DKP system : we are accepting people who do not raid 4 days a week, we are (or try to be) friendly. But how officers can choose who who get what ? even with nice people, a fixed system like DKP is correct, because rules are set. This is the advantage : there is a fixed law, that can be modified, but all know it and accept it.<div></div>

<div></div><div>If you raid 4 days a week DKP or something like it is very likely to be necessary. But with a guild that raides once a week, and on a VERY good day gets all 4 groups full it starts to trivialize out. The biggest problem we forsee is that we have 6 or 7 Templars? (lol like half our guild is priests), and they all sit around saying "no you take it" untill an officer finally forces one of them to attune/scribe the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] thing <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> EQ1 DKP was almost manditory w/ the number of people involved in the process of any given raid, in EQ2 many raid forces can't head out unless 95% of it's people don't attend. I'm not saying it is not a good idea for the "raiding" guilds, but for those of us who raid casually it SHOULDN'T be necessary. Also, given we're not out to "gear" our MT you dont have that resentment. At this point we cant take T6 raids, and the stuff we get doing the T5 content we missed pre-expansion dosen't really generate alot of debate.</div><div> </div><div>edit: dont you hate borking and noticing it 30 seconds after you hit submit?</div><p>Message Edited by Crinisen on <span class="date_text">01-17-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:40 AM</span></p>
