I was looking through the level 50-60 spells and noticed there is no new single target root. I already get my root resisted a fair amount, and it's just going to get worse as I level.

I personally have used Truss on as high as a level 64 when I was level 57. Its a Master version so im not sure if that helped or not. So I would not worry about using Truss up to 60 =)

Robsco the Humble Gnome Steamfont.

You'll get an upgrade at 61st whenever they expand the level cap.

You get a new upgrade for 99.9% of the spells in the game every 14 levels. Truss is 47 so it's next upgrade is at 61 so until the next expansion, it is the best single target root you will have.

uprgading root spells DOES decrease the chance of being resisted, I think its even in the spell description. my ad 1 truss gets resisted more than i would like.also when i upgraded from ring of cold ad 1 to ring of ice ad 3 I noticed a big difference in resist rates, RoI ad3 very rarly gets resisted even on groups of 2-3 58-59's

By upgrade I'm pretty sure they mean going to a higher level version of the spell (as long as the lower level isn't grey), not increasing the quality of it.

I can efectily solo the ^^^56 and 57 harpies with truss. I can usualy get about 3 or 4 rounds of BoI off befor i have to recast it. Sometimes i can just chain nuke till the timer is low and i need to recast befor nuking again. I could NEVER do that befor the expansion or befor i upgreaded it to Adept3. Now its more efective for me to just cast Truss tha nit is the stack truss and RoI becaus i htink that stacking the roots increases their chances of breaking. Sometimes now ive also noticed that when stacking the roots they will both break at the same time and give no slow to the target! Other times it will stack the slow reducing them to a molases crawl but i would prefer to just use truss and save the mana.

i'm wondering why it matters that you have a single root. at 54 you will get Ring of Ice, which is a single encounter root... so single target + encounter members... since the group root works on single targets as well, don't you think a single target root after Truss is redundant? Then there's 2 spells you need to upgrade. Personally, (i am level 51) I use Ring of Cold all the time, and never fire off Truss. The reason being, ring of cold slows for a greater percentage after the root breaks than Truss does. All Truss does is take up a hotbar slot, really.

I use Truss and RoC when soloing... I alternately stack them so I can keep nuking...
