<DIV>Before the nay sayers try to discredit me. I have been level 50 for months now as a wizard and am in the top raiding guild on Oggok. (Guild: Nerfed)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I keep seeing the doomsayers claim we are nerfed. Honestly, from Pre-Combat Change to now, We are awsome!. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.) I do enjoy the way roots have changed.</DIV> <DIV>2.) I enjoy seeing my int up my damage.</DIV> <DIV>3.) I can do real damage now. (To the point that killing level 54 Heroics from one ups to triple ups are in my power)</DIV> <DIV>4.) Down time is not nearly what everyone is making it out to be.</DIV> <DIV>5.) The idealism behind "The Glass Cannon" has come full force, and I fully imbrace it. (IE: We don't take a hit very well, but we sure do give one)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Over all I am very very pleased with this change. I'm no longer a mana battery in raids. ya i enjoy all my spells. including ball of flames adept 3, hitting 4 digits never felt so good. But u still have to keep a control of how u use them , otherwise the bobs will rush u. personally i like to cast my ice sheild on the tank to let him get a good bit of hp quick so i can use my dots and nukes safley. <div></div>

Took me two full days to relearn all my new spells and how to use them. Most fun I have ever had as a wizard in EQ2 is now. We can solo very effectively and efficiently, and are fantastic in groups now. Get your INT up, get all spells updated as quick as possible to adept 3, it makes a huge difference now. Get Evoc and Subju gear if you can. Wizards are now Wizards, enjoy it and stay to play!

My damage output increased significantly, I can outagro a scout that is mentoring at L26 (32) to my Wiz that was L22 at the time. I've only had to adjust my playing style slightly to accomodate the fact that I can no longer attempt certain mobs, overall I'm enjoying the changes, I started as a bard, moved to a zerker and now ply my trade as a wizard which I believe will be my char till I hit the heady heights of 60. <div></div>

Ok..>I can't stress this enough. To an extent, I VERY much agree with you. Overall, I'm pleased with the combat changes and I do feel useful as a wizard again. **HOWEVER** there is still work to be done. We're still being out dps'd in all sorts of fights. This issue is split among the wizard community 50/50. And don't go by simply these posts...ask people on your server. Honestly, I think people are seeing the big numbers, and just letting it go. But we were promised top DPS's, and we're simply not getting that. There *IS* room for improvement. But...Honestly...I want people to realize that, at least where I'm concerned, I'm not dissing the combat changes in the slightest. <div></div>
u realize dont u that if soe even does try to improve us, {would be ns to outbeat all others but then r dps would have to go higher} they'd probably screw us and possible all the other mage classes in doing so. i dont know about u but i was scared as hell before the revamp expecting them to mess us up even more. and the idea of there workers going around and "tweaking" or actually shall i dare say "fixing" is really unsettling to me simply for the fact that they dont know how to do either. they try to fix what they think is right but usually {most of the time} it isnt <div></div>

I don't get the new mob con system. ^^^ is supposed to be heroic, yet the mobs in the pics shown above are no arrow heroics. I've seen ^ and ^^ non heroics, so I dunno [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] is goin on there.I do know this. I can't take a ^^^ heroic 6 levels below me. They resist too many roots and I get a can o whoopass rammed down my throat.On the other hand, I took on 3 ^ 54s (at level 51) and showed them who was boss.So I'm not really sure if the system is working as advertised, but there are definitely mob's who's [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] I can kick and mobs who can kick mine. The trick is just figuring out where the dividing line is...

The con range is determined by the ENCOUNTER, not specific mobs in the encounter. Think of it this way, you have really easy, easy, normal, slightly hard, pretty hard, and REALLY hard. The really easy, easy, and normal (and possibly slightly hard) encounters are considered solo. In general the hard and really hard encounters are considered heroic. As before the revamp, a full group of mobs (no arrows) is considered heroic. I'm pretty sure its low-end heroic (con would say for a group of 2 to 3 players). A ^^^ mob, 2 ^^ mobs, or 3 ^ mobs would be considered a high-end heroic encounter (group of 4-6). The more ^s they have, the more health, damage, and resists they will have. This is why it's easier to take out 3 ^ (thank god for RoC) than it is a single ^^^.</span><div></div>

I used to have 3 pieces of Fabled gear, but now I'm down to one, my head item, Wiseman Skull cap. I only have two damage spells at Master, icy coil, which still does less then Piercing Icles Adpet 3, and Ball of Fire Master 2, which does less then Ball of Flames, adept 3, since they are on the same timers, why cast the weaker one? </P> <P>So with an int of 304 and avoidance of 33%, I've fought and taken down heroic mobs. Heroic mobs have maybe slightly more hitpoints then their non heroic counterparts, the biggest difference is the damage they output is much higher. Or at least, that's my experience.<BR></P>

Thats a lot of nukage for a mob 15 lvls below me....</DIV>

<div></div>i had beaten an heroic 49++ last night ( a nammed who spawn near the higwaymen rujarkian) classi technic root heat and some debuffs but i cast my NEW BEST FRIEND PROTOFLAME behind the nammed proty go so much damage so the nammed go into the yellow i root him again and recast proty ^^ and cast severals DOT to not aggro him and after his was in orange near red root ice comet paralyse root ball of incinerate and flame strike master 2 2or 3 times ... i love my little proty ^^ i was realy stressed by the renwamp but now i m happy we are PURE nuker now but use nuke with moderation in group becaause before when root was inbreakable we could go seriously mad on the mad making destructive OHs and be safe during 36 sure ^^ but not now the root can break any time and the mob take you as target so it s very exciting to nuke but not to much waiting good time for this etc etc >>tactics inc now and it's very very cool and stimulating <div></div><p>Message Edited by scorpion noir on <span class=date_text>09-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:38 PM</span>
