So I read the patch message where they said that the range of damage was narrowed. Well they did this 2 ways - they increased minimum damage and decreased maximum damage. From what I can tell, this is across the board.

Here are my Ice Comet Adept 3 numbers at 251 intelligence:

Initial - 4150-5227

Sunday - 1800-5600

Today - 2499-4642

Notice, the lower end is higher then Sunday but still significantly lower then last week. The big kick in the teeth was the high end - it has dropped 600 points after going up (down 1000 points from Sunday).

Here are my latest Parses. Initial is last week before the range change. Sat/Sun is the initial range change. Monday is the latest range change. Notice, my overall damage has dropped from this weekend.

                            Initial Sat/Sun Change Monday Change

Ice Comet 4590 3715 -19% 3586 -22%

Ball of Flames 1231 1140 -7% 1019 -17%

Icy Wind 450 431 -4% 367 -18%

Immolate 167 159 -5% 139 -17%

Paralyze 1191 1206 1% 1154 -3%

Ice Flame 422 435 3% 400 -5%

Flamestrike 591 538 -9% 480 -19%

The patch notes stated that Ball of Fire, Ball of Flames, Ball of Incineration, and Ice Comet have reduced variance and increased damage - not by my parse.

I think this is down to them screwing with the INT bonus again. What I noticed was that they reduced the per-point benefit of INT again, as well as introducing the new Level*7 cap on the bonus. Also they seem to have skewed the bonus so that the base damage on spells goes up half as much as the max damage as you increase your INT. The result being the more INT you have the wider your damage variance becomes. For example At INT 55 - Adept3 Devastation is 309-574 At INT 197 it's 368-683 That's a change of +59 and +109 on the min and max ranges Similarly, At INT 55 - Adept3 Nil Distortion is 592-1099 At INT 197 it's 704 -1308 That's a change of +112 and +209 respectively.

I agree, its gonna be pure entertainment just watching everyone get use to "learning to walk again" much less run Lots of last minute changes and I am sure we will have daily changes once this all goes live, gonna pure chaos for a little while...keep your hands inside and enjoy the ride.

Goby, could you please post this in the combat feedback forum if you havent already?

I seriously doubt any devs ever read this forum.

This information is solid, and clearly shows how our damage has been nerfed severely over the last few days contrary to SOE's claims that it was in fact increased.

Thank you Goby for putting numbers to it all.
