<DIV>So, SOE made INT meaningless, again.  I have been browsing thru all the forums try to find some information, but it seems that no one wants to post anymore info.  I read somewhere that, this is a kick in the cod-piece:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently, Ice Comet is doing 2.9k-3.2k dmg on Test?!?!?!?!  What happened to 5.2k?  Where is my INT love?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You mean to tell me, that a BARBARIAN can cast an Ice Comet as effectively as an ERUDITE?  You are joking.  How many mentally deficient mages do you think ever existed? (I know they are fake, but seriously)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What's the point in upgrading anything if it doesn't change a thing?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Can someone please confirm the new damage with the new INT numbers?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, basically, SOE didn't change a thing?  Combat Revamp doesn't exist?  Glad to know.  I was excited for the change, now I just want to cry.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hopefully they don't F-it up! (More)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bogwaluth-50 Wizard Mistmoore</DIV>

I haven't heard this yet.  As of two nights ago, my Ice Comet adept III was still hitting around 4200+ on average.  If it has changed, it changed yesterday.  Regards, <div></div>

<DIV>The bonus was just lowered a bit not removed.  Chances are that they had increased it way to much on test and it needed lowered.  This is just speculation though as I havn't played on test in a long while, but the update notes for 13f do say that it was just reduced.</DIV>

For example, going from the lowest possible to the highest possible INT makes less than 5% diference to damage. This has been tested and proven by many people in beta.</P> <P>IMO this was an awful decision. Sony has been trumpeting for months that INT will finally mean something other than a minor power pool modifier. They actually delivered for a while, but now they have simply taken it away again.</P> <P>I suspect this may be a panic move to try to get the expansion out the door. Combat balance has barely been started, and they are removing variables so they can finish up faster.</P> <P> </P><p>Message Edited by fraelith on <span class=date_text>09-01-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:44 PM</span>

The INT bonus was absolutely the ONLY thing i was looking forward to in expansion.  After multiple guildies got into beta we discovered yet againt that bruisers completely destroy everything in pvp.  So i vowed not to do pvp, and just go out and exp/raid and whatnot with my new and not so improved spells.  I have 380 int self buffed, which is a hell of a lot more than most people.  If what people are saying is in fact true, there goes my reason for playing right out the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] window.  Why else would i spend 70 hours a week raiding and getting nice fabled gear.  I could still use my AQ gear and supply the same dmg, and for raiding purposes still not run out of power.  If SoE wanted to do anything to [Removed for Content] me off more than i could have been, this is it.

<DIV>Currently, on test, I am getting zero extra damage from intelligence.  I have bugged this - it has to be brokern.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<div></div> Pre patch at 200 INT my Adept 3 Devastation was doing 420-513 per tick Now at 200 INT it's doing 507-620 per tick Will have to figure out the exact new increment, but it's better than it was <span><img src="../../i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif" border="0" height="16" width="16"> </span><span>[Edit] At a first glance it looks like 1 INT is now approx 0.1% extra damage</span> <div></div><p>Message Edited by Magiocracy on <span class=date_text>09-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:52 PM</span>
