Thulian Magus

<DIV>Hi fellow wizards,</DIV> <DIV>    Are any of you still able to solo Thulian Magus in feerott?  Im consistently getting owned by them now since the patch.  The majority of the Magus that spawns seem to be warlocks and sometimes they even one shot me.  If anybodys able to still solo them.  Can you tell me how?  I've been trying to increase my resist but their nukes are still hitting me hard.  Even the priest type spells like divine strike hits hard.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>Scitz</DIV> <DIV>50 wizard Lucan Dlere</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Good luck with that.  Wouldn't be hard if you duo'd with a fellow mage (any type).

<P>I use to solo farm these things nonstop. Gotten several master chests from them. Now since the patch i can only kill some of them, and thats just occassionally.</P> <P>They are wizards and not warlocks(or so it seems the majority of the ones i get), they seem to be nuking now as soon as i root (RoC) with ice comet, then following that up with immolation. Which to say the least owns me....</P> <P>Some of them i can resist ice comet and ill be just fine, but if the ice comet lands and they cast immolation right afterwards im dead.</P> <P>I use elixir of vivacity(heal) and elixir of clarity(mana), they can help you survive the initial ice comet, but if its followed up with immolation then the potion wont be enough to save you from a quick and ugly death.</P> <P>Anyways your best bet is to duo them, otherwise you will be calling for help alot or dying frequently.</P> <P>It sux that they are so hard to solo now because i got great enjoyment from soloing them, i know we shouldnt be able to solo them to begin with, but its a good test of skills.</P> <P>With the upcoming nerf to our perma root (down to 12 secs instead of 36 seconds) and the uber buffs to mobs now, wizards wont be soloing much of anything thats named or ^^.  I disagree with the change, but every other class will say it was long overdue....</P> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by OneBadAlien on <span class=date_text>06-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:56 AM</span>

how can they use ice comet? they are not level 50 yet. I have found wizard ones, but they are usual easy, while the [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] warlock ones seem to spam nil distortion on me or dark distortion <div></div>

I do know they use immolation (the wizzy ones), and it probably is the warlock that is nuking me for 2000+ then nailing me with a dot. Either way it sux now.
