The warlocks are kinda dark, poision and disease damage casters and weezards do elemental damage.  You can read all the complaints on the boards if you like, but my suggestion would be to pick the one that most appeals to you and go with it regardless of what you read.  Both classes will likely be changed many times (good and bad) during your climb to 50 and beyond.
