<DIV>Considering the upcoming "combat adjustments", I'm thinking about those spells in this level range that will benefit the most from an upgrade to Adept III.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had been thinking of upgrading a spell like Hand of the Tyrant...but am thinking that my Adept IIIs would be better spent on damage upgrades, until a point in time I have some extra rubies laying around.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, my question....in order of importance, which lvl 40-50 spells would you upgrade?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for your input!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oumania</DIV> <DIV>Blackburrow</DIV>

<P>I would say it's nearly impossible to guess. Having gone from pre kunark to now and always being a wizard the way spells have changed has been beyond most to divine :smileyvery-happy:</P> <P>My best guess thoguh(pure wild speculation) would be RoC, AV and IC but we will prolly find IC master even harder to get than now, if you can begin to imagine that /shudder!</P>

you can get whatever you want in adept III and order wont matter a whole lot... if you primarily solo then more dmg is what you want, if you primarily raid then buffs and mana transfers are much more usefull. here is my list, in order of importance: ice comet (mostly for soloing, if you raid you can wait for this one because most epics are immune to it) piercing icicles essential intromission/fiery surge (ignore these if you dont raid, they can wait) ring of cold hand of tyrant (good for both raid and soloing, the int bonus is nice if your gear is trash) vital flow augmentation (if you primarily solo you can get by with appIV of this) icebound gift (adept III isnt a big upgrade so this one is lower priority) flamestrike/fiery pulse (these spells are complete trash, dont waste rubies on them - scorching pulse adept III does as much dmg as fiery pulse adeptI for less mana and both are on the same timer) thats all for 40/50 spells... but there are some tier 4 spells that are more important that most on this list (in my opinion). such as: ball of flames (at lvl 50 it cons blue and i use it every fight, well worth the upgrade) immoliation (same deal as ball of flames) ice flame (decent damage, still cons green at lv 50 - dont let any warlocks know you got this adept III, they will ridicule you lol) depart (just kidding) <div></div>

<DIV>As a wizard your spells are your tools. How well you perform is limited only by your game skill and the level of your spells. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Show some pride and upgrade them all. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Start with the spells you use most often.</DIV>

<div></div>The most honest advice I can give...whatever spell you click the most, upgrade to Ad3. Each playstyle is different, altho Ice Comet and Piercing Icicles are pretty much a solid bet no matter what you do. From there its the decision between the major raid spells and the major solo spells. Think about what you do when you log on and Im sure youll figure out whats best for you. Edit: Eye hav a spell chequre <div></div><p>Message Edited by Andalla on <span class=date_text>06-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:45 PM</span>

<div></div>Can anyone post the stats of: Augmentation Adept1 vs Adept III HOT Adept 1 vs Adept III Icebound Gift Adept 1 vs Adept III I need to upgrade one of these this weekend, and I want to pick the one that gives the highest possible resists. Edit: Also, can Descry and Snow-Filled steps be upgraded? I have never seen even an app III for these, but I imagine an Adept III version would be quite nice. <P>Isengrim:</P> <P>Dont bother with Hand of the Tyrant Adept III right now. I actually looked into this this week in preparation for a Darathar raid since I came across a Ruby. I found that the difference between Adept I and Adept III was only about 10 Heat Protection total. And I believe a very small handful of INT.</P> <P>I would dump that Alazerin ink into something else. It seems that most of our buffs at this point get an extremely minimal boost from Adept I to Adept III.</P> <DIV>*EDIT*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Woops... didnt read the whole post you made. Snowfilled Steppes and Descry cannot be upgraded unfortunately. They are a one lvl spell =/ Kinda sucks, I know.</DIV><p>Message Edited by SalBluee on <span class=date_text>06-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:39 AM</span>

<DIV>LOL!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oumana, you caught me out. I accidently 'forgot' to add I was a 50 sage.:smileyvery-happy:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But I am evil so what can I say? (And it's only Adept III spells <40 that are 10g...levels 40 up I charge 20g.) </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, I DO recommend all spells are upgraded. At present I have about 25 Adept III's. Only about 7 to go before all my T5 spells are Adept III's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I know some people are going to say that it makes no difference for many spells (in many cases a negligible difference) but you need to remember that the spell system is about to go through a major overhaul. When that occurs it is expected that players will appreciate the upgrade to Adept III's. This will then place a high demand on rares. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My goal is to have ALL my T5 spells at Adept III minimum byt the time Desert of Flames is released.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If resources are limited I suggest harvesting to find that elusive rare. I still harvest every day.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you can only select one or two spells to upgrade then I suggest upgrading those that you use most. You will gain a huge dps increase if you upgrade Ice Comet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ishmah 50 Wizard / 50 Sage - Najena</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00cc><STRONG>ISHMAH'S SPELL EMPORIUM</STRONG></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#cc00cc><EM>You provide the rare and I'll provide the flair.</EM></FONT></DIV><BR> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Any opinions on Icy Wind ? This seems to be the upgrade to Freezing Wind, a spell that I use a lot when fighting groups.
