Ball of Fire vs. Nil Distortion

<DIV>Ok i got to lvl 23 today and just scrived ball of fire adept 1. I went out and hit something and my immediate response was wow now thats a nuke. Well just a little bit ago I got a group in TS and there was a lvl 23 Warlock in the group. Every now and then I would see the warlock do his lvl 23 nuke and I noticed that his nuke was considerably outdamaging my nuke(by about 50%). At first I didnt worry about it, I just thought his must be on a longer recast timer to makeup for doing more dmg. Finally I built up enough courage to ask him what the recast timer on his nuke was. When he responded I went from curious to extremely [Removed for Content] of, 9 seconds is what he told me. [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] mine is on a 12sec recast and does less dmg, whats up with that. Then to add fuel to the fire he told me his was on a 2 sec cast time. Again [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] mines on a 3 sec cast time. Then he preceded to tell me that his nuke also gave him power back whenver he casted it. Is this true that the lvl 23 Warlock nuke does 50% more dmg than the wizard one while having a shorter recast time and shorter cast time(not to mention power feedback)? If it is then that sucks. Oh well i guess i made the wrong choice. Should have been a Warlock. I picked Wizard because i wanted to have the highest single target dmg in the game. But as it seems Warlocks have the highest single and AOE dmg in the game! LOUD NOISES!!!!</DIV>

Instead of starting yet another thread, it would have been better for you to add your comments to the 8 million other threads on this topic.</span><div></div>

I am pretty sure the devs are aware of this. Wait till after the combat revamp to [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] about spell damage. I am sure the damage will be close to even after the revamp. <div></div>

I meant Dark Distortion, not to familiar with warlock spells. But still our lvl 23 nuke is about half as effecient as their lvl 23 nuke.

OMG< I had forgotten about what it was like when lightning flash was a 2 sec timer! That was so awesome I think I got to use it for a week until they nerfed it. I mean "adjusted" it. Wizard are second to them in DPSappartment and have much more usable utility. And btw. every wizard ist much more versitile in RAIDs as warlock. They are usefull in every RAID atleast for manpumps. Warlock could not doind nothing beside damage. <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#3366cc size=3><STRONG>well i am happy with my wizard i wanted to do damage and she does damage....i have not played with many warlocks but the ones i have played with did so much damage the stole aggro 99% of the time....lots of ppl in guild did not like to group with the person because of this....now my imolation adept 3 does a lot of damage over time but does not steal aggro....i have tested all my spell granted i am just made 50 and waitin on my adept 3 ice comet but i tell my tank friend i am going to try everything i can to steal your aggro and i can not he is a great tank which i am sure makes a difference but i am happy about that....now if a warlock did that i am sure they would take aggro....all in all i dont understand y ppl are not happy with there wizzie i am and i have heard some good and bad things about the revamp but for wizzie sounds all good! we shall see....well all i can say is hold out for the revamp but if you really dont like your toon make a new one like a warlock if that is what you think is best better to be happy <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></STRONG></FONT></DIV>
