VLA vs. "The Dress"

When I first got to EL - I discovered the Fog Grimmin VLA. It had okay +INT and a little +power. At current INT conversion rates - it stacked up nicely against some of the robes in game (Neeklub's, etc.) My mana pool was always comparable (often a teensy bit better) than other Wizards at/near my level range. But... now that I'm turning 40 - the Fog Grimmin stuff is going green - and I'm scrambling to replace it. Problem is... I've gotten used to being a little unique as a light armor wearing Wizard - and gotten used to not wearing a robe. I've been watching the broker (and the forums) and understand that later in the game there are robes that 'must have'. But... I was thinking about how nice it would be to have a Very Light Armor alternative. The Ice Threaded stuff has GOBS O' power - but no +INT. And I've heard hints of coming changes that dictate our +INT will be a factor in damage dealt. So... this will make the Ice Threaded gear quite a bit less desireable I think. Just a thought. Perhaps there is a VLA alternative that's escaped my attention. -GB- <div></div>

<P>grind out for 3 more lvls and you can equip tundra walker gear, it has as much power as ice threaded (maybe more) and +int.</P> <P>got me up to 2680 at lvl 43.</P>

If you can manage to kill borxx everytime he's up, he drops a platinum-dusted tunic that is pretty nice. <div></div>
