I want to know whether or not a wizard can hold his own in combat soloing, compared to that of a warlock, i dont know how consistant it is compared to a conjurer, but i would like to know if any of you would concur with me, when i state that warlocks are overall more powerful than wizards... please give your vote to which class you think can fill this spot the greatest, thanks guys... :]Jacques

wizards are very good soloers but in the current state of things they will always be 2nd to warlocks. warlocks have a higher DPS, therefore able to kill the mob quicker. also their spells are more mana efficient.

Um, look at it like this.If you can solo, then it doesn't matter what a warlock can do, or any other class, because youa re succeeding in soloing. It's solo. Meaning, you either live, or die. That's all that matters.

I see, when i stated the question of "would you concur with me that warlocks are more powerful than wizards" i meant it as a question, i would never guess a warlock is more powerful than a wizard, but who knows, it could have come out of the thread from someone, but thanks guys, significant help has been brought to my choice for tomorrow afternoon...Jacques

I personally don't like soloing, and we're pretty good in the group environment. The lesson here is don't solo if you can't. :smileywink:

I don't understand why so many wizards think they can't solo. Truth is, we're the BEST soloers in most instances. We have Truss that we can use on mobs after roc expires (cancel it of course to avoid dot) and I don't think the Warlock's fear root fear's much anymore... we have ring of cold again that goes within and not outside the battle (which isn't always an issues but 3/5 times it is where I solo), the best thing "Vitalic Harvest." Cast truss, vitalic harvest, voila- infinite mana.

If you know how to root properly and if you practice enough you'll find you can solo anything. I can solo any ^^ up until red I suppose or if they have huge magic resistance and groups of 3, somtimes more pending on arrows... Just keep practicing and you'll get it
