<DIV>I can fine no merchant that sells arnour for wizard lvl 26. At lvl 20 the AQ from NPC in Eddar Grove are for groups only. </DIV> <DIV>The groups that invite you to join them, are not interested in your wants. They usually say "we will do the present quest, and we see what to do about yours. After that quest, they got to go or some feeble excuse to disband the group. I have now decided that most leaders of groups are stupid and do not bother to learn a leader's correct role. These types should be reported and not allow to form a group again. I went solo, and struggled. This was until someone ask me join a guild just starting. I accept it straight away. I was approached by a fellow member who does well in tradeskills. He made me a robe, which at lvl26 is "I got a lot to learn", all the rest, I have now are well below my level. This is making it impossible to go in Thundering Steppe's. to continue game-play. Where can I buy armour, without having do quests, far above my own armour level.</DIV> <DIV> Be grateful for any help. Janner. </DIV><p>Message Edited by janner471 on <span class=date_text>06-08-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:38 AM</span>

There are a few thing you should do. First off is never buy npc Equipment, That stuff is junk most of the time, Its good while you are lower level but even then there are better alternatives. Now that we have decided npc stuff sux, the next order of business it to relize that the con color of your armor or jewlery does not meen that that an item is good or bad for you. Its the stats that are on it that makes a diffrence. As a mage if you have an earing that has +6 in and it is green to you yet there is an earing for sale that is orange but has no stats on it at all guess what. The earing that coned green to you is better then the orange one. Its alot like shoping in real life, Look at what you are buying see if tis better then what you have if it make sure you are getting it at a fair price. K now that we have some basics the nest thing for you to do is buy a "market board" and place it in your toons house. This will let you sell items to other players and you can also look at what other players have for sale. Use the filters on the board to narrow down your search. Now lets say you have done all this you have found an item that you want to buy from a player there are now two ways you can purchase this item. The first is to look at the far left where it has the person selling the items name at. If after there name is says what city and room they are in you can then go to that city then go to the inn and "visit" that person by right clicking on the inn room door and selecting vist and then putthing there name in space. You will then enter that persons room and you will notice that the person will have a merchant tag on. You can then buy the item from them like you would an npc. The other was is by using the broker, I think all home citys have a broker in them somewhere so ask around and find the one for your city. When you click on the broker you will get a windo kind of like the one you get when you "browse" the merchant boards in your room. The one diffrence is that there is now a "buy" button and you can buy that item from the broker no matter what city a person is in or if they are out of there house. Now the down side to this is there is a broker fee so you pay a bit more for the item. at lower levels its not that much and if you are looking to upgrade alot of gear doing it this way inho is the best at it will save you a ton of time. the other way is to do quests and not just the AQ,s. As a level 26 wiz there is a set of 3 quests i think you should absolutly do and all 3 start in the same place. They are in ROV in ts and can get your a nice robe, an earing and i think either a ring or a bracelet not sure as it has been a long time, The quest starts in the same room that you can find the "weave master" in and is started by clicking on one of the rolls of fabric in that room, Take the one for the robe first all you do is go to the oracal tower in ant and talk to liandra and for bringing her the new sild she will give you liandrans oracals robe. Not a bad catch for a 26 wiz and a quest that is pretty easy. you can go back to the same piesc of fabric 2 more times to get all 3 rewards. Your best be though is the merchant boards and to check the often, I also want to caution you about pricing on them. Becarfull some items are way way over priced on the boards. if you feel something might not be right or that a price might be too high then hoild off a bit and keep checking back see if some one undercuts them on it. Also ask aroun in guild chat if x gold is a good price for x item. I hope this helps <div></div>

At your level the best robe you're going to find is Liandrin's Oracel Robe. It comes from the silk roll in varsoons, or can be bought for 2-5 gold on the broker. An excellent, and might I add, good looking robe. it has +5 int and about 4 other bonuses..

<DIV>I would also add that as a Wizard your armour is not the be all and end all (you can make do in grey/green kit). Your roll when soloing is not to get hit (much) by using a root and nuke strategy (armour not that important). Your roll in a group is to not get hit at all by finding a good tank (armour not that important), being careful with your nukes, and watching out for adds.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Read above posts for some good advice. You can find a broker in every starting town in the tradeskill instances. Just join one, whether or not you are going to do tradeskilling as it is the most convenient place to find a broker.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you want to do an AQ, simply go to the zone where others will be doing it and /ooc that you are looking to do the relevant AQ. If others are doing it you may get an invite.<BR></DIV>

<P>Hello. Well the response. Thank you 3C Palantir, for a detailed and a good instruction how to get better armour. I did as you said look at the broker's board. The best I got were the trinklets. Very good. Have taken to work hard at my tradeskill, and because I took the outfitter's choice. Which turned out to be the best for me. I'm a lvl19. now and only 20% to go for lvl 20. I have chosen to be a tailor. I've made a few armour already. Mostly prestined. About 60 maple strong boxes and 60 Tanned leather backpacks. Of course for myself and co-char.'s. Thank you also to Tar~Palantir. Great about the robe, but the best thing I got is a robe made by a fellow member of the guild. This robe I got when I was Wis. lvl 20/21. It still tells me I got a lot to learn, and at lvl 30 the migration goes to 73. Not bad a??. I am luckly, at picking up rares. So far, found 3X corals. 3X severed bones, and about 30/40 glowing/shining items. oh! , and steel X2. It was the rares I use for that robe. Best thing I ever brought. Thankyou Aa Dari , (oh! these names) My wiz. char. is called Almo. I have 9 chars. in all. My char. Mally(paladin lvl 24) likes killing yellows and oranges. My main fighter will be A Barbarian (Crusader lvl 19). He likes killing orange and reds. A very big boy. Thank you all. Almo </P> <P> </P>

The 'easiest' way is to have tailored rare armor. There are some Mytical drops that are better/equivalent, but most of the time the difference is minor.Problem is the price of the rares (sisal, dandelion, oak, figwart) since the advent of the dolls. But then again, you could be a fighter and need Ebon....

Janner, Hang in there. In a just a couple of levels you'll be ready for Enchanted Land. There you will find some amazing things. The quests on the docks and surrounding area will yield some extremely nice caster items with excellent +int and resists. The Valekeeper items in particular. The turtles and grimmins around the docks all drop Fog Grimmin gear - which is some the coolest gear I've seen. I'm 39 and it's only just now going green on me. Excellent +int, passible +power and resists and not shabby mitigation. Plus... it's NOT a robe. In fact... I've gotten so used to not wearing "the dress" that I'm sort of dreading having to go back. On the other side of the docks are those nasty... wicked... beady-eyed little fairies. Who all drop Sea-Mist Sylph items which are also tailor made for casters. These will fill your ring and waist and utility slots pretty quickly. ALL of these mobs are completely solo-able. It only took me a few evenings to solo an entire suit of the Fog Grimmin armor - and fill most of my utility slots with some very nice orange gear. That's right... I didn't pay a single copper for any of it. Also - the loot tier bumps up a nice level - and you'll begin making 3 or 5 gold a night if you are diligent. Plenty enough to purchase whatever else you will need. Just hit the docks and get every quest you can - and watch for those Traders requisitions to drop. They're well worth the effort. Let me know how you like it there! -GB- <div></div>
