<DIV>So my wizard is level 45....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am concerned about my damage, and enquiring as to which spells i should get to adept 3. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Already Ball Of Fire and Flames are adept3 which i consider to be our 2 main nukes at this stage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ice Flame, Icy Coil are also Adept3. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most other spells are adept1. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The reason i am concerned is that i was grouped with a warlock guildie who's parsed damage was double that of mine, also his mana useage was far below mine. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have Surge of Flames Master 1, but still my power useage is huge in comparrision...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there anything else i need to upgrade? I am currently trying to get the starter for Robe Of The Invoker to help my mana regen.</DIV>

upgrade immolation. whatever you do though you're gonna be out DPSed every time. their spells are also much more mana efficient than ours. <div></div>

<DIV>To get higher dps you have to get those dots going first, then nuke. I start with my 2 dots that debuff resistances, then Immolation, then start nuking. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Don't try to out dps a warlock it's not goint to happen. </DIV><p>Message Edited by Dalamer on <span class=date_text>06-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:04 AM</span>

We group all the time, Through the low to mid 30's our damage output was pretty much the same, sometimes he would have more, sometimes I would, using combatstats. As we moved to the high 30s when he hit 37 and got adept 3 of his nuke, it scaled a lot better than mine, however I can cast mine 3 times before he can recast his, Which balances out over time, depending on resists, we are really close to the same damage. I am now 45 he is 41 and we have not parsed since low 40s, but with immolation adept 3 I am guessing I will be slightly more or really close to the same. I really do not think the two classes are out of balance besides the power consumption for our spells. If you know how to play your class there is not an issue in doing damage.</P> <P>When grouping with him I would Piercing Icecicles(app4), Icy Coil(app4), Incinerate(app3)(Because its a fast cast low power dot/debuff) then drop in an Immolation(adept 3) Open HO Ball of Flames(adept 1) Westfend's Ice Spear (30th lvl training) Blazing Intimidation (adept 1) Ball of Flames (adept 1) rinse and repeat as needed.</P> <P>Doing that kept me above, or close below him. A few times we were within 20 damage of eachother depending on who hit the HO and got the extra 200-300 dmg to their name. Again, the only issue I see between wizards and warlocks is power consumption. </P> <P>I just remembered, Bony Grasp..I remember when my warlock friend told me about this spell. I couldn't beleive that warlocks got something like that, an unbreakable 36 second root.. Then as I hit 41.5 I think it was I got Ring of Cold, come to find out this spell straight lays the smack down on Bony Grasp. It's NOT AOE but will root group of mobs. It also has a snare, and DoT that can proc when the spell fades doing around 70dmg a tick every 5 seconds, which has saved me many times. The power consumption at adept 1 at 41.5 is 139. Warlocks Bony Grasp is 135. </P> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit: Name :p</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Blast 45 Wizard</DIV> <DIV>Guk - Timeless</DIV><p>Message Edited by Blindrage on <span class=date_text>06-06-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:21 AM</span>

Once a warlock gets devastation, it's pretty much over. <div></div>
